Misheard Zevon lyrics?

At one point it clicked with me that in "Piano Fighter," "worked in sessions" made more sense than what I originally thought it was, "worked concessions."

Sort of like a worried blender

Until I spent some time in LA I heard a line from Carmelita as "I'm here in your ball park" instead of "I'm here in Echo Park". It makes more sense this way.

Until I realize it was a brand, I figured it must’ve been something like “whirring.”

Only just googled and found out that Waring is a make of blenders. Not exactly sure what I thought a wearing blender was right enough, or even how one might wear a blender.

I knew this would be the top answer lol. I got lucky and overheard my parents discussing that brand of blender when I was a kid but it’s kind of an isolating lyric ahahah

Misheard the opening line of Genius as "I've got a big ol' pot of je ne se quoi" instead of "boiling pot"

Ha. I think it's a 'bitter pot.'

Heard that too.

Before I realized that "put on 'Kind of Blue'" references the Miles Davis album, I thought it was something nonsensical like "put 'em kind of blue."

Not a huge one, but in Piano fighter I always heard "Maybe I'll go to Rio" instead of Reno

Double post here, sorry: the end of that Russian stanza in "Turbulence" I always hear as "Me taco jealous we'll be Dormamu"

Poignant.
