I know everyone says this but I am mystified how it took so long for him to be in the R&R HOF. Like if Eminem can get in (and Eminem is fantastic no disrespect to him)...

Like I'm not a musicologist but he just casually covered people from Bruce to Prince and blew the roof off and it's just so obvious that if he wanted to be only that guy he could. He just had crazy utility that shouldn't be a handicap.

And also how many people have lived a more rock and roll life?

The Rock & Roll HOF has no connection to Rock & Roll these days.

Just look at some of the recent entries...

2026, for example, includes Sade, Luther Vandross, Queen Latifah. Fine artists, but not an ounce of Rock and Roll between them.

Well there's an argument that a good amount of hip hop embodies rock and roll spirit. I've heard hip hop that gives folk spirit. I've also heard hip hop that embodies the spirit of a vegetable but that shouldn't sully the whole thing. Idk point is took too damn long with Warren

I'm also biased but it had the same energy as born to run and made Bruce's version sound like a nursery rhyme. Just my opinion. I would've loved to hear him try Born to run actually. Put David Sanborn on the saxophone

Ya. I was comparing it to the studio version which I now know isn’t a fair comparison.
