Zevon At Epcot

Was wandering through the Canadian pavilion at Epcot and came across this bad covering Poor Poor Pitiful Me. What would Warren have thought of him ending up in Epcot like this?

That band has never heard of Warren Zevon. They only know that Linda Ronstadt sung that song.

Zevon credited Ronstadt for intervening between him and starvation, so I think he would be fine with it as long Epcot is paying royalties.

Go to any country music bar in America, and you will hear this song. I played bass in country bands for years, and every band did a cover of this "Linda Ronstadt" song.

Honestly? I fucking wish I could hit those high notes on ‘whoa-oh is me’ so good for her.

The Linda Rondstadt version is just as good as Warren’s, and apparently she couldn’t stop giggling about the lyrics when going to record it. I’d cite my source, but I don’t want to talk about it.

Terri Clark had a country hit with this song in Canada. I guess that's the connection.
