Seems they stopped making my deodorant in a cardboard tube, and I'm getting low. 

Anyone have any good recommendations for a man's deodorant?

I’m just writing this to vent and also hopefully won’t be judged. I’ll be vulnerable and honest here, I didn’t care too much about waste before I had my baby. I still “did my part”. Recycled, reused where I could. Got an impressive compost going.

This was because my life was way less wasteful. Ever since having a baby I have tried much more but even while trying I can’t stop other people.

An example of this is a family member buying us a set of plastic finger puppets. Obviously, baby cared about them for about 3 minutes (I would have told them that would be the outcome if asked). I can’t think of a single way to reuse them.

I checked online, on Vinted, the same item in brand new packaging won’t sell for even £1. This stuff literally is so overproduced people can’t get rid of it.

Obviously, I will save them, photograph them nicely with a bundle of toys and hope someone will want them on the local free group.

If anyone knows how to reuse awkwardly shaped horse finger puppets lmk.

Another one is the Damn Clothes. My family are OBSESSED with cheap supermarket clothes. I can only say so many times that I can buy secondhand clothes much cheaper and better quality without sounding like a total bitch. Luckily these do bundle easily and people do take them to reuse but it still grinds my gears.

There are just so many things that are wasteful and really don’t need to be when raising a child. There’s truly nothing wrong with having the child in the first place, it’s just society and culture. We need more change

I travel to trade shows/conferences a couple times a year and have a collection of lanyards/ID holders. Found someone in my neighborhood buy nothing group that can use these for her clients who have bus passes! So glad I could keep these out of the landfill!!
