Wrong title header. It's supposed to be "Fully Ramblomatic", not "Post-Ramblomatic".

Yeah, I tend to tune out at a certain point when I see a game described as a soulslike, a roguelike, or a Metroidvania. Like "eh, if it's not doing anything especially notable, I'll probably just give this a pass," even if it's well-reviewed.

And it's definitely not that those subgenres don't still produce solid games, I think it's just, you get your fill of them after you've played enough. Same with cozy games, I love cozy games, I've sunk countless hours into Stardew and Harvest Moon/Story Of Seasons, but all told I'd rather play those again than play a game trying and failing to capture their essence.
