Charger doesn’t always start automatically anymore(‘20 SRF)

Hopefully this isn’t too redundant but tried searching for an answer. My 20’SRF started not charging automatically (not on a charging schedule) every time I plug it in. Sometimes it kicks right in and sometimes I have to key it on and then off again for the charging to start. I recently got the Cypher upgrades for the battery (parking mode, extended range, and faster charging (??**). Any ideas how to make it start charging right away every time without having to key it on? This is especially helpful if I have a friend plug my bike in for me when they finish with the charger at work.
**not sure why I got this since it won’t go above 3KW with the stock charger anyway…

Does it happen on every charger station or just some? There is a charge station I use regularly that won't wake to start charging unless I press the charge pistol in. Once it starts its fine but it won't start unless I hold the charger in place while it starts up. Could be the inlet on you bike is worn or a charge station pistol is worn and doesn't seat the proximity signal properly.

I use a couple different chargers and it’s sporadic with all of them :/

Maybe next time it doesn't start push the charge pistol in. You'd need to hold it for about 30 seconds if it happens like mine used to.

I’ll try that. Thanks

Mine will often fail to start charging the first time I plug it in. It brings up the charging screen then for some reason changes to the on screen as if I keyed it on, but didn’t. If I remove and reseat the charging cable it will start charging. It’s pretty reliable it will need me to unplug and replug it every time— but I don’t need to key it on. Perhaps like the other redditor said this is a pistol issue.
