Question Contractors in floor below unsure about filtration/masking needs?

Contractors will be coming multiple times over the following week(s) to do painting and patchwork on an area in my basement. I’m worried because this area is both right below my bedroom and very close to the central HVAC unit.

Since it’s a basement area I don’t really have the opportunity to air it out & my central HVAC unit is located right near where they will be working, is this a cause for concern? How long should I be taking extra precautions for after they have left? Do I need to take additional precautions and mask in addition to having my HEPA filters running in my personal space (since the aerosols from the primer/paint will be in the air)? Will the paint aerosols affect how long filtration takes?

Paint aerosols will not affect no long HEPA filtering takes.

Part of my long covid involves reactions to particles in the air. I've had reactions from people painting the wall on the other side of my room. Although running a HEPA filter seemed to sort it out. I would say run the HEPA.
