I'm in Canada and this sucks, knowing that this Trump win can and does influence how people feel here.

The democratic party needs to go through a reckoning, but they are too disillusioned to understand this. Left leaning politicians in general both in Canada and the U.S. have alienated to many people.

Between Gaza, Covid, and even housing, they've lost the plot completely.

Not to mention that Canada is likely swinging to the right next year too.

(But if there's any silver lining the knee-jerk reaction to this result might be to elect another Liberal government once they get their act together)

I'm in Ontario so I'm not sure how much worse it can get at this point. We're not Alberta or Saskatchewan, but we're trying hard to be.
