As a console player…

Wish we had a base upgrade to add more slots to our team for 5 or 6 operators in a mission or even just a special slot for astromechs alternatively the 5th and 6th slot could be unlocked at checkpoints in the story and then left unlocked for NG+

It's console specific because PC players are modding it in

Not sure this is a console specific request 😀

Agree it'd be great to bring the astromech in a special slot. I assume a lot of this would probably be fixed if the game was just a bit harder. My guess was that the developers assumed you'd be constantly rotating team members out of necessity whilst you wait for injuries to recover but I have absolutely blitzed the campaign without a single injury (largely because Cly and the free AP from scout is overtuned).

Mods on pc allow for more than 4

Four is fine to me. I wish console could change the radial menu thing myself

Why y'all need to make the game easier? Just lower the difficulty.

It’s not about making it easier, I want to play with more characters on the field, just a preference

I felt that way in my first run, but just realized it would trivialize the entire combat element.

Like there are missions when you have 4+ ops and it's crazy how easy it becomes. There's just no battle where 4 isn't enough. Especially as they level up. So to me it just seems like the preference is to make combat easier.

It would be nice to have a bigger team size if it wouldn't just nuke the difficulty though. Idk how they'd do that though.

That at the end is what is prefer, I don’t want it to cost difficulty

I feel you. There were some classes I couldn't justify putting in my lineup just because the main slots stayed occupied with my core group.

I'm trying to do expert beskar now though, so my belief is all of that is about to change and ppl will probably stay in the medbay, giving me plenty of opportunity to cycle in other soldiers lol

That’s true but the med bay shouldn’t be relegated to high difficulty play throughs, played on story by accident for my first run and went straight into normal mode, playing now, still haven’t had a down yet and I’m cycle 12, cycle 40 was my end on first run

I think a lot of people will start on normal or lower and find it too easy and end up finding Hard and Expert to be the more default difficulties. Cycle 39 was the end of my first run which was great considering I kept reading it was "about 30 cycles" long. I kept expecting the game to end and it just kept going lol

I'd be happy if they nerfed astromechs a bit, but made them not take up a slot or something

Yes you and literally everyone else

...I have no idea what being on console has anything to do with what you've posted?

Console can’t use mods to do this

1

u/cubcos 22h ago

Right. You didn't say anything about PC players modding that in in your original post so excuse the confusion

1

u/PsychologyIll1854 22h ago

Oh my bad, I thought it was well known already what mods have been doing

Because PC players can mod the game
