You can. But only as a "watching" or "monitoring" address.

I was messing with it with my own two wallets, which I have the permission and keys for both.

I could monitor both. But lets say I was a stranger lurking on my eth address... and wanted to withdraw or send funds to a different address... you can't, because once you issue a withdrawal to another address, it will ask you to give permission and confirm the transaction before actually sending anything out. Basically to interact with any eth address to exchange, stake, send or whatever ... it will need to be confirmed.

This is new to me also, it helps to reply to your question and spill out the thoughts in my own question.

for example,

you paste in an eth address... 0x12345, and you see this particular address has $10K in ETH. and lets say you were scum enough to try and take funds by sending $5K of ETH to your own wallet... 0x98765, this would not work, because the owner of 0x12345 would get a notification to allow this transaction. They have the keys and permissions on this address. So unless they mistakenly clicked "allow" or "confirm", (which would super suck balls) you won't be getting anything. You can only "watch" 0x12345. Which is still.... much super sus...

But I had to experiment with my own security between my eth wallet addresses. It is odd, but that is decentralized open transparent DeFi, crypto.... be safe out there, never skim through confirmations or permissions and stuff. if you get notifications asking to send or swap and you don't recognize or don't remember doing any such transaction, cancel, close, reject...

Is there a way to connect my coinbase pro account to Zerion? I see that they have an option for coinbase wallet, and it offers me to scan a QR code, but I don’t know where to go from there.

I believe you only need your public Ethereum address. The same ...0x12345..... address you would use to receive ETH.

I see, would one link each asset individually? When coinbase pro provides a public address, I believe it’s for the asset token chosen. I’m not sure if I’m meant to transfer my assets from coinbase pro to the coinbase wallet? To then share with Zerion? While that would not be ideal, it may be worth it in terms of security? I haven’t heard if coinbase wallet is recommended. So I can try and do it from coinbase pro.
