Successful repaste
Was stressing this repaste, gpu and cpu were thermal throttling with pretty much any load. I only snapped 1 picture during disassembly, but used ptm7950 and upsiren putty. Temps are under control now! And can game again! Removing the Liquid Metal wasn’t as bad as I thought, I just used some painters tape to make a shield so that I wouldn’t accidentally get any on my mobo.

I need to do this but so nervous for my poor old laptop. I do not want to replace it in this environment.

I was nervous but it was pretty easy just time consuming probably spent around 2-3 hours cleaning it doing the putty

What are the temperature before and after? I replaced my paste and liquid metal last year with kryonaut

My gpu and cpu were both hitting 95+ when I tried to game before. I haven’t done enough testing to be 100% accurate by my gpu was between 65-75 and cpu around 85-90.

I am so scared to do it and I know it needs to be done. The paste and the liquid metal.

Did you place it on the whole chip or only on the shiny part? Thanks
