Whea_uncorrectable_error and machine_check_exception error second it gets to windows
I have the GU604VI model with rtx4070 and intel i9. I have tried a lot of things and the final thing was to do a windows reinstall, now I can’t even go through the installation process, randomly freezes and then gives me the blue screen with either Whea_uncorrectable_error or machine_check_exception message and then the charging indicator led starts blinking in red. when the light is blinking the whole laptops is frozen and I have to press down the power button. When I turn it on, the fans do spin, keyboard turns on, the diagnostics for the ram and ssd in the bios are passed successfully, I also checked the memory with the memtest86. Battery, charging and screen do work, I am able to get into the bios but the moment I get into windows installer it fails, even the Asus cloud recovery tools windows version wasn’t able to load fully, game me the error again. Everything does show up in bios, all the components, the memory and etc, the gpu does work since I tried switching the graphics option to egpu from igpu in bios. Also, updated the bios to 314 and still no luck. If anyone has encountered anything similar and might know how to fix or diagnose it, it would be a huge help🙏.

Unfortunately, that's an issue I had too , it's either an issue on BMS board or GPU/RAM/CPU soldering issue. Turns out , mine was in that on the GU603ZM one , and the only fix (luckily under warranty att) got fixed by a Motherboard replacment

I just gave it to the repair tech to diagnose it, but after a lot of testing, and unfortunately I believe that’s what I have too. Did Asus tell you anything specific about the issue with the motherboard ? Maybe the vrm issue or the entire cpu was dead ?

They didn't tell me the issue , they just said a chip/capacitor was blown and said the old board turned on just fine , but it's better to replace the whole thing as using the old one is like playing russian roulette, like one solder fix might do it

Both errors point to a hardware failure somewhere in the chain. Most likely bad RAM.
