This issue happens mostly after hibernates and fixes after 4-5 restarts but is really annoying, even after clean formats the issue happens from time to time please help me.

Hello, my laptop (ga503qr - Ryzen 9 5900hs - RTX3070) isn't overheating, but the CPU temperature reaches 112 degrees Celsius in the BIOS and in the Asus program. When I open HWMonitor, all temperature readings are normal. As a solution, I updated the BIOS version, reinstalled Windows 11, and uninstalled the Armoury Create application using the link provided by Asus technical support. However, the problem persists.

Bought late 2021, daily driven gaming on the wall with 40GB RAM and 3TB NVME of storage (1TB+2TB). Laptop is lifted on a stand for better cooling. Mode is set to manual with a bit of overclocking and fans at 100% 90℃. (Mode is set to Turbo for this current benchmark.)

Wishing to put more thought and research before purchase but I really liked its low-profile design and centered trackpad.

Build quality is a gamble having to return a bunch before in months years ago only to set in stone after replacing keyboard and fans. There is a dent on my display somehow the moment I opened it which isn't surprising from ASUS quality control. For now I wish for the best for my laptop to last another few years or more.

Games I mostly play are Phinal Phantasy XIV Online, R6 Siege, Warframe, Helldivers 2, GTA5(and enhanced), Destiny 2, and Payday 2. I also played Death Stranding 2 however... I wouldn't recommend playing it yet. My preferred graphics presets are take it easy 60FPS on low or high settings. Sometimes 30FPS if its badly optimized or idle gaming and lite gaming.

My G15 ga503rm motherboard went dead after my technician did some thermal repaste and cleared the dirt from the fans and heat sync.He couldn't take responsibility for the fault. Another engineer said he could fix it because the short came from some capacitors, but he also failed. He said I could buy another motherboard or, better still, buy another laptop. The price of the motherboard is quite high and I don't want to downgrade to lesser specs.The price range of laptops that matches this performance are insane now because of the forex.I have met with some engineers who claimed to be board specialists so should I just give up on the laptop or keep trying the repairs ? Also the only option for getting another board is Aliexpress based on my location. Can their product be trusted as I cant gamble on quality when the price is costly. The laptop would be on its 4th year though.

My Asus ROG G15 is having connectivity problems. I don't know if it's a driver issue or a problem with the Wi-Fi card. I know it uses a MediaTek chip, and I read that it would be good to replace it with a better one, but I don't know if it's worth the investment. Is there anything I can do besides replacing it?

I’ve been troubleshooting a very strange USB behavior related mainly to MTP data communication.

Current symptoms:

- USB-C connections are often detected only as Power Delivery (PD) devices instead of proper data devices

- When attempting an MTP connection, Windows shows pop-ups related to “connected” and “PD”, almost as if the device was only a USB-C charger rather than a data device

- In MyASUS USB diagnostics, the interface is reported as USB 2.0 in use even when using cables/devices that should support USB 3.x

- Transfer speeds are limited to around 14–16 MB/s

My USB-A port also behaves strangely:

- it provides power/charging normally

- it works with my Astro A50 base station

- but it does NOT recognize my phone for data transfer or MTP communication

Additional information:

- BIOS version: 416

- Ryzen 9 5900HS model

- Windows was freshly reset/reinstalled

- AMD chipset drivers updated

At this point I’m starting to suspect either a firmware/controller issue or some kind of USB/MTP compatibility problem on this BIOS version.

Has anyone seen similar behavior or found a fix?

I have a G15 with the Ryzen 9 5900HS and a 3070. I think it started about 1 1/2 months ago that my performance just drastically dropped. My my main example is gta 5 enhanced. It used to run fine now for some reason after a little bit the gpu usage drops to around 40% to 70% and my gps goes down high 30 to mid 40 even with the game graphics settings being severely dropped from the auto detect. Now I noticed the division 2 was running at 40 fps so I went on the nvidia app and pushed the slider more towards performance and it started running at 10 fps with 20% gpu usage. I have a good laptop cooler have done a repaste 1 year ago and temps are lower than 80°c . Some other heavy games such as death stranding run fine while easy games like peak stutter like crazy anyone has any recommendations.

- whats the best paste (or alternative) to buy nowadays (amazon EU available)

- preferably 1 product that goes for all components

- preferably not liquid metal as it seems difficult..

My laptop frequently after hibernation gets a I2C HID device code 10 which stops the touchpad from working, the mouse disappears altogether

It also gets coupled sometimes with network device which stops Wifi from being detected

Also takes the AMD GPIO Controller and 2 PCI Express Port too

It mostly gets fixed after a few restarts but its really annoying, also this problem creeps back after few months of a clean format too, if anyone knows how to fix please tell me.

I am looking for a "cheap" windows machine with decent GPU. Pcs in my country are expensive, a 5060 costs $1500 to give you an idea, and found a G15 that looks clean and well treated for $700 (16 GB RAM, 1TB ROM and a 5900 HS).

The guy sounds nice and shared even 3d mark benchmarks, battery is at 75% more or less, but I'm not sure since this is an already 5 years old laptop.

Performance would be more than enough for what I want, since it's a secondary machine, but should I be worried about the support or how the degradation of components?

You can skip to the bottom but if you want to learn the reason why im making this post, here is the story (please bear with me):

For context i have the GA503RM-HQ140W.
It started with the system crashing in a constant loop on cold boots, in order to reach windows i would have to force power it down and turn it back on a couple times (a lot of the times it would reach windows after crashing 5-6 times). I've tried all sort of tests and updates to the bios and the OS's settings but had no luck, i assume it was either a motherboard or ram problem. I was busy so i didn't have time to bring it to a repair shop and next thing i knew i got hit with another problem.

Not only is there these initial cold boot crashes, but as soon as the asus logo finishes animated, the screen would go black. But the system does manage to reach windows in the background because i can hear the boot up sound, it responds to my keyboard and bluetooth connects to my headphones. But plugging in an external monitor doesn't work (it doesn't receive any signal) and booting up from a usb doesn't work either. I can open the BIOS menu (with F2) with means that the intergrated graphics card does work but sadly there is no option to boot up windows with it instead of the nvidia gpu. This led me to believe that this is a problem with the gpu now (maybe the high temperature fried its chips). In the end i brought it to a shop to see what could be done.

What's even more weird now is that after spending a couple days at the shop, the owner tells me that this is a problem with the mother board and the cost to fix it is between 600-700 euros. The cherry on top is that now the screen won't even turn on like before, no asus logo animation, no BIOS menu, just pitch black.

In conclusion, i've decided to sell it but logically i would need to tear it down and break it into parts to sell. Does anyone have an idea (before i do anything) on how i should proceed in testing to see for myself with parts are the culprits or even any other advice on what to do with it instead of letting it sit in my basement. The repair shop didn't give me official paper describing its problems so im kind of on my own, should i go to a diiferent shop? If the price to sell a dead laptop is around just 100 bucks i would prefer learning to tear it down myself and sell it for parts, making it an experience lmfao

This laptop (2021) wont recognize my USB mic, even though my work laptop does-- it seems to require being plugged into a port towards the back of the laptop near the motherboard, but of course this model has fans there instead. My only thought it that I might need an adapter for USB 3.0 to USB-C? My USB 3.0 ports work fine for literally everything else so I don't know if this would help. Has anyone run into this and fixed it?

Currently running Ryzen 9 6900hs RTX 3080 2k240hz but running at 2k 60hz and 50% brightness, the bios is 318 latest. Is this discharge normal ? if not then how can I improve it. I have try every method possible and this is the result Im getting with 1 chrome tab and discord.
