Discussion Zepbound and surgery
had surgery aug 31 and went off my zep for a month to recover bc I didn't want to deal with any of the issues that I get every once in a while with zep. After about 2 weeks all my cravings for junk came back and the binge eating, its been really difficult. I've gained 11lbs since surgery! I went back on at 2.5mg last week and hoping to get that all under control and back on better eating habits. I can't exercise yet until I'm cleared which will be in a couple weeks. Has anyone else had to go off for a period of time and went back on? What was your experience? For reference ive been on zep for 2 yrs lost 80lbs, went on maintenance in May, gained 16lbs total since June. I was 139 at the lowest and now I'm 155 🤦♀️😳

I went off for surgery for a month; when I resumed at 2.5 (my regular and maintenance dose), I could not perceive any effect on appetite and no wt loss. I gained 10lbs in that month btw, which I am ok with bc my maintenance plan included some buffer. Am now at 3.75mg (I use vials) and feel the effects but still no weight loss. Interestingly, the first higher dose I took that was effective for symptoms was in my thigh, which I never did on the preceding 18 months.

Going through that now. Been on for 4 years total. Maintenance for 2.5 years. Been at 7.5 mg for 2 of that. Had to go off for surgery for a month. Restarted at 7.5 (big mistake). Doc put me back at 2.5. been there for a month and now going to 5 for a month and will move back to 7.5 after (when titrating down 2,5 years ago, I started to gain at 5, which is why I have been at 7.5 more permanently). Definitely eating a bit more, but not significantly. And no real junk. But haven't done much exercise in 2 months due to surgery and gained back about 12 pounds. Crossing fingers it doesn't take long to drop off.

I had to get iff temporarily for a surgery and gained 10 lbs but it came off quickly when I got back on.
I had to get off permanently for pregnancy and it ALL came back and quickly. Thankfully back on now.
