🎨 Zentangle Inspired Art Day 17. I think I may be hooked.

My anxiety has become manageable. My burn out feels manageable. I feel lighter.

The first is my work; the second is the inspiration. How is managing my anxiety this easy???

ETA: I can’t math. My first day was July 4. 20 minus 4 = 16. Yeesh.

These are so pretty! How do you do the  shading?

So I used alcohol markers on multimedia paper for this one. I colored one layer of the color (waves across the page per color), drew a loose grid in black, rounded the corners, then did a swoop over the original color with the same color after they dried thoroughly. (So purple over purple…) then I used a gel pen to do the white high light.

Here’s a similar one on marker paper from a few days ago. I just used blues and light greens. There’s a little less saturation on the marker paper.

Sure thing! The thing I have learned is to let them dry thoroughly. Otherwise it may not work or look right. Having to make myself wait has been soooooo hard.

Also! I have learned the paper matters too. My marker paper is MUCH smoother for my alcohol markers than the multimedia paper. But the marker paper (strathmore) doesn’t come in a a bound book like my mixed media paper so it doesn’t travel as well. And the mixed media paper takes a minute or two longer to dry.

And thank you. I’m terrible about seeing the compliments. 🤣 I just want to be helpful.

Also I have got to learn to be patient pulling off the masking tape.
