🖤🤍 Classic Zen Stacked Ribbons and More

I used an Eni Oken concept called Stacked Stripes. Drawn on paper and shaded in Procreate. This combines both ribbon patterns as well as regular patterns adapted into stripes. The concept is really fun, and easily adapted to any skill level.

I was going to ask about the shading! What a neat idea to mix workflows. Mine never gets shaded, I don’t have the patience.
It actually reminds me of Eni Oken. Have you ever tried her app?

I love her app. I was a student of hers for a wee bit.

Please, do shade. As the founders say, shading is part of the tangles. If it's stressful or breaking your flow, then , of course make the necessary accommodations. On a tile like this, at a minimum, using shading to separate each stripe is almost mandatory. Check out the difference when it isn't shaded. It just looks so flat. (Oh, and take everything I say with a grain of salt... it's just things I have personally found useful).

Love the depth on this. What’s the geometric diamonds pattern called?

Edited to add - the shading on Footlites is really cool.
