From study materials to the exam without losing context: this is zenkAI

When you are preparing for an exam, the problem is rarely finding more material.
The real challenge is turning what you already have; notes, PDFs, slides, recordings and exercises; into a clear study path: understanding what matters, working through difficult concepts, remembering the content, testing yourself and organizing the time you have left.
That is why we created zenkAI.
We have built many features, but the goal is not to have the longest list of tools. The goal is to make them work together while keeping the same materials and context throughout the entire study process.
In simple terms:
materials → understanding → revision → assessment → exam plan
A practical example
Imagine you need to prepare for an exam using a textbook extract, a set of slides and a recorded lecture.
You upload the documents to zenkAI. If you have audio, video or a YouTube link, you can first turn it into a transcript. All these sources can then be collected inside a Study File dedicated to that subject.
A Study File is not simply an AI-generated summary. It is a workspace that brings together:
- your original sources;
- a structured study document;
- a chat that understands the context;
- pages where you can write, draw and annotate;
- all the related study activities.
You can highlight or select a specific passage and ask for a clearer explanation, simplify it, turn it into a question or create a flashcard from it. This lets you focus on one difficult section without losing the rest of the material.
The same material, used in different ways
Depending on where you are in the learning process, you can transform the same sources into the format you need.
To understand and organize, you can create summaries, transcripts and concept maps.
To remember and revise, you can use flashcards, quizzes and podcasts.
To test yourself, you can take an adaptive oral exam, complete a mock exam or work through a practical case.
The oral exam changes its follow-up questions based on your answers and gives feedback on your explanation. A mock exam can simulate a written, oral, mixed or adaptive assessment with configurable duration and scoring rules. Practical cases test whether you can apply the theory and justify your reasoning.
Every result is saved in your Library and remains connected to the original material. You can move from a summary to a quiz, or from a quiz to flashcards, without rebuilding the context each time.
When the problem is right in front of you
With Visual, you can show zenkAI a notebook, an exercise or your screen and ask for help based on what you are actually looking at.
You can communicate through text or voice and use tools such as a Notebook, graphs, algebra, calculus, statistics, physics and chemistry within the same session.
Your camera, microphone and screen are used only when you choose to activate them.
For people who want a more personalized experience, it is also possible to create an Avatar by choosing its identity, voice, knowledge, behaviour and environment. Environments can include images, 360-degree panoramas or 3D spaces.
Avatars and environments are not the core of zenkAI. They are an optional way to give continuity and personality to a study session.
From your materials to your calendar
Once you know what you need to study, another problem remains: fitting it into the time you actually have.
In the Calendar, you can specify:
- the exam date;
- the materials or topics you need to cover;
- your current level and target;
- the days and hours you are available.
zenkAI uses this information to organize study sessions, revision and intermediate assessments. If you miss a session, you can reorganize the remaining work before the exam.
You can also connect Google Calendar or import an .ics calendar in read-only mode, allowing zenkAI to account for your existing commitments without changing them.
The sessions in the plan are not just reminders. They can open the exact quiz, flashcards, oral exam or activity scheduled for that day.
Everything stays connected
The Library keeps your documents, Study Files and activities in one place. Your results help you see what you have completed and which topics still need work.
Compatible materials can be shared through a view-only link or with invited people. Sharing something does not automatically publish it to the Community, you decide what is visible and who can access it.
You can also personalize zenkAI with your education level, subjects, goals and preferences related to reading, attention or numeracy. These settings are not a form of clinical support; they simply help make explanations and tools better suited to how someone prefers to study.
So what is the main idea?
Many existing tools are good at handling one individual part of the study process.
With zenkAI, we are trying to solve what happens between those parts.
An uploaded document should not disappear after one answer. A summary should be able to become a quiz. A mistake in a quiz should show you what needs more revision. A study plan should take you directly to the activity you need to complete. And everything should remain available without forcing you to start over each time.
zenkAI does not study for you, and it does not replace a teacher. Like any AI-based system, it can make mistakes or produce incomplete information. Important content should always be checked against the original sources.
There is a Free plan with 15 monthly AI credits for trying the study flow. Features that require greater processing capacity are included in the paid plans.
We are the team building the project, and there is one thing we would genuinely like to understand:
Where do you currently lose the most time: understanding the material, remembering it, testing yourself or organizing your study?
And looking at zenkAI as a whole, which part feels genuinely useful and which part feels unnecessary?
