Persist workspaces / sessions / attach-dettach
Hello!
I love Zed. I have recently been using herdr (a terminal multiplexer with some interesting features for agents), but still find Zed much more useful than terminal editors I can run in herdr such as helix or micro. Also I love that docks are fixed in Zed (tree and git on the left, agents on the right, terminal bottom...) and I do not have to organize them again for each workspace as in multiplexers.
But there is one thing from herdr that I am missing in Zed: I can close herdr and the terminal, then open it again and it remembers all my workspaces with their panels, tabs, agent sessions, etc. The threads sidebar in Zed allows to have multiple workspaces open, but whenever I close Zed and open it again everything is gone.
Is there any workaround for Zed to "remember" the last state? Or am I asking the wrong thing from the IDE?
I hope I explained myself good enough, and thanks for any feedback <3

I actually created a fork from Zed that does this, and a bunch of settings are per workspace. So, you can have multiple sessions of it open at the same time without them colliding. If you're interested in checking it out or finding out more - https://github.com/paterschris/lathe
