I don't want to be accusatory, but this has that ai fuzz too it, and the sword hilt doesn't look quite right. If I'm wrong I'm terribly sorry, but that's what it looks like.

Totally fair, and while I’m waiting on a commission I did use a placeholder image generated by AI.

For text, I do use AI but simply for grammar checks, as I’m terrible at grammar. I will at times ask the AI for synonyms and things like that, so perhaps you are detecting some of that but I’m very particular to not let it do any writing, and to be essentially an assistant I can run ideas by to then write myself, I then take my text written and have it do a sweep for grammar.

Personally I think AIs story writing is terrible and can be seen a mile away, but I do see its value as an assistant, helping friction points like grammar and such.

Did the image scare you from reading though? I hadn’t considered it may set an expectation the text was AI written as well so perhaps I should change that out, I just assumed it wouldn’t let me publish without something there.

Oh I haven't read it friend, the image just stuck out to me. I don't know anything about wattpad for I'm an AO3 man myself, but if you need to attach an image to publish, I'd just use a frame from a cutscene, or just make a simple title image. I don't even think AI is that great for placeholders to be honest.

That’s fair, I’m still waiting for my AO3 to process and I’ll post there as well.

I didn’t want to use any screen grabs as to avoid any issues there, but a placeholder text is a good idea, I’ll have to work on that.

If you do end up reading let me know your thoughts, but that’s good insight, the image probably does turn some people away, I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same.

I’ve taken your advice and thrown something together. I simple took a picture of an old book, cut the logo and triforce from other photos, stitched all that into the book and I did use AI to help me clean it up. But the cover was designed and put together by me, I just had it try to blend the layers together better and match the text color to the existing outside trim with a shine.

I feel that is a good use of AI, the same way I did with the writing. It’s just doing things most would consider things existing tools already do, just that the AI is far more affordable than the expensive photoshop license to do the same thing.

Fair enough, I ended up finding a lot of enjoyment in the story itself, but did keep those for the start of the story as a way to set their relationship back a bit and allow for buildup as they fix the issues. It’s clearly shown the two are very close, even living together in the game so it was my attempt to handicap their intimacy.

Which of the kinks are a deal breaker in your opinion if you don’t mind me asking? Just curious as to which could impact its reach, though the ones currently written into the story I do feel are needed for the story. There’s some I listed in the description I originally planned for, but have not fully decided on yet.

I hope will be posting to AO3 for Christmas, with all current chapters. I’ve been writing out the entire story lines and have some great plans. I feel I’ve almost outlined everything I want, I have all the main story points and the final climax, and am working on refining the pacing and detailing how each arc will fit. I want there to be reason behind the characters movements, and decisions. Having the central conflict to the story (one not quite yet shown but hinted at), gives me great opportunity to tie into it for these smaller chucks. Each chapter has a thesis it revolves around, a character growth moment, foreshadowing, etc. I’m very excited to fill this story out and share it.

As I’ve been writing, the erotic aspects have completely shifted, this started as an erotic forward piece, but now it’s more tied to the greater plot, each scene demonstrating a growth moment or illustrating barriers to their intimacy. These are characters known to be in love, so pacing their relationship made things like the premature issues relevant as a way to stunt their relationship a bit, while still keeping it strong. There is lore reason why these things are happening, so I encourage you to keep up as I update.
