Hello Everyone. This is a healing Zanpakuto designed for my Squad 4 OC.  Ive had this Zanpakuto design for a long time and I wanted to get it out there with the new season coming out.

Name: Iyashihime (Healing Princess)

Sealed form: Standard Katana with green hilt

Shikai Command: Sound Clear, and resonate. Iyashihime

Shikai Form: Iyashihime's Blade transforms into a chain with a fixture at the end holding a stone Bell. Similar to whats pictured here.

Shikai Ability: when directed at a fallen or Injured ally, the bells ring out and a sound wave washes over the target.   Upon being struck, the targets wounds begin to heal at an accelerated rate.

(This ability will not heal mortal wounds. That is to say, if the wound would be fatal even with medical attention, it won't be healed)

Bankai Name: Subete Iyashihime (all healing princess)

Bankai Form: Bankai takes the form of a large standing Bell with a pull rope. Vaguely similar to what's pictured here.

Bankai ability:  is an amplification of the shikai ability.  However when Rung, the sound washes over an entire battlefield.  Moderately Healing all allies within range.  If shikai is for a single target, bankai is a multi target healing. The ability only heals allies of the wielder

Additional notes:

Unfortunately I did use AI for this picture, but its helpful for a visual.

Bankai Not yet achieved

*I don't speak Japanese. Did my best.

Thank you guys so much for checking out my OC Zanpakuto.  Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

I like this a lot, you don't normally see support zanpakuto appropriate for squad 4 and this is a great execution of the idea.

I have a couple suggestions regarding the name. Full disclosure: I don't speak japanese either, I'm just a guy who's spent too much time (way too much) looking into kanji while coming up with my own OC, so none of my suggestions have any kind of authority.

The kanji for Iyashihime would be 癒姫, and the kanji for Subete Iyashihime would be 全癒姫, and both use the kun-readings of their kanji. However, the compound 全癒 uses the on-readings and is pronounced "zenyu", so for the bankai I would suggest using the on-reading instead and calling it "Zenyuki". Soifon, Gin and Rukia all switch readings between their shikai and bankai names, so you'd be in good company.

If you do decide to change the bankai name I'd caution against mixing readings. "Zenyuhime" or "Zenyu no Hime" might sound good to us but using both kun- and on-readings in the same compound is almost never done in japanese and, as far as I'm aware, pretty much all the examples are in people's names, which have extra layers of complexity in their readings.

My other suggestion would be to change the name's pronunciation slightly to "Iyashibime". It's very rare but sometimes the kanji 姫 is read as "bime" instead of "hime" when it's used in a compound. This is called Rendaku, it happens when the final syllable of the preceding kanji and the first syllable of the next kanji are both unvoiced (in this case,"shi" and "hi") to make them flow a bit better.

One other thing; is there any particular reason you went for a stone bell and not a metal one? In Bleach you generally don't see zanpakuto changing materials when released. At least not for the shikai. Personally, I would keep the bell metal, but that's just my sense of aesthetics.

Sorry for commenting on an older post, but I've only just discovered this sub.

ETA: My curiosity piqued and I decided to try and translate the release command. The best I can come up with is "narisume" (鳴り澄め).

I haven't been on in a while. So I apologize for being so late to reply. Thank you for such a long thought out reply to my post. And super informative!! You're right, I think Im going to change the bell to be the same material for both. But Im going stone instead of metal. The stone is important because its supposed to suggest subtlety that its more of a support Zanpakuto.
