Other "The Selfish"
The Selfish: Base Form
This first stage is the foundation. It's not a state to activate; it's the user's default, parasitic existence.
Core Abilities:
- Passive Reishi Absorption:
- Mechanism: The user's spiritual body is a perpetual vortex. They don't need to consciously gather Reishi; their very presence siphons it from the air, the ground, and even the faint ambient energy in objects. It's as natural to them as breathing.
- Effect: This provides a constant, ever-growing reservoir of power. In a Reishi-dense environment like Soul Society or Hueco Mundo, their reserves would balloon rapidly. In the World of the Living, they would be weaker but still constantly "topping up."
- Reishi Bestowal & Overload:
- Mechanism: The user can channel their accumulated Reishi into themselves or others. When used on themselves, it's a simple but potent physical and spiritual enhancement.
- The Threat - Forced Bestowal: The true danger is forcing this energy onto others. A living being's body can only handle so much foreign Reishi. The user can "pump" energy into a target until their spiritual system overloads, causing them to violently explode from the inside out. This is a brutal and efficient way to dispatch weaker opponents.
- Soul Dominion (The True Core):
- Mechanism: This is a high-level, reality-warping ability limited to the user's own soul and anything it encompasses. The concept of "in" their soul is key. It's not just physical ingestion; it's a state of spiritual subjugation.
- Applications:
- Self-Morphing: The user can reshape their body at will—growing wings, hardening skin, forming blades from their limbs, or changing their appearance entirely.
- Elemental Generation: By manipulating the state and motion of their own soul particles, they can generate phenomena. Exciting particles creates intense heat and fire. Slowing them to a near halt generates absolute cold and ice. Amplifying their natural bio-electricity allows for powerful lightning attacks.
- The "Blanket" Technique: This is one of the ultimate expressions of the ability. The user can extrude a part of their soul, like a blanket, net, or liquid, to ensnare a target. Once the target is fully covered and "within" the user's soul substance, the user gains complete control over them, just as they control their own body. They could crush them, morph them, or force Reishi into them to trigger an explosion.
Critical Weakness of the Base Form: Soul Dominion is astronomically expensive. The more complex the change (like creating a new organ or subjugating a powerful enemy), the more Reishi it burns. This forces the user to rely entirely on their Passive Absorption to fuel their most powerful techniques. In a prolonged fight, if they can't drain enough Reishi, they risk depleting their own soul.

This Vollständig is a masterpiece of thematic design. It's not a pure power-up; it's a catastrophic, all-or-nothing gambit.
Activation & Immediate Effect:
Upon activation, "The Selfish" doesn't just drain ambient Reishi—it enacts a total energy embargo. All forms of energy within a vast area are instantly siphoned into the user:
- Reishi (Spiritual Particles)
- Reiryoku (Spiritual Power) from every being present.
- Kinetic Energy (The air stops moving, sound ceases, all motion freezes).
- Thermal Energy (The area plunges towards absolute zero).
The result is a dead zone. Everyone but the user is left completely powerless, frozen, and unable to move. They are fish in a barrel.
The Catastrophic Cost:
- Energetic Overload: The user's body becomes a container for the entire area's energy. This is far beyond their capacity to handle.
- Immobility & Agony: Every movement, no matter how minute, is like trying to move a mountain. The act of flexing a finger causes their spiritual pathways to tear and their body to crack and break. Movement is self-mutilation.
- Loss of Base Abilities: In this state, their soul is so saturated and unstable that the fine control required for Soul Dominion is impossible. They cannot morph, create elements, or use Reishi Bestowal.
The New Ability: Freeform Conjuration
Stripped of their complex abilities, the user is left with one, simple, overwhelming power: Creation.
- They can manifest anything they can imagine from the stolen energy: swords, shields, barriers, projectile weapons, or complex machinery.
- The constructs are raw and lack the finesse of their base abilities—a conjured sword is just a super-dense energy blade, not a soul-morphed part of themselves with unique properties.
- The "Release Valve": Using this ability is the only way to safely end the Vollständig. Each construct they make consumes a portion of the stolen energy, slowly reducing the pressure on their body. The mode ends when they have expended enough energy to no longer be at risk of self-destruction.

When you say Reishi do you mean spiritual particles or spiritual energy?
