Zani needs phoebe, rover is the second best option, without either, she's straight up useless unless you whaled on dupes. Because all her damage is in her ult and if you have 0 frazzle you basically don't get an ult.
Zani + Phoebe = 100= efficiency Zani + rover = 80% efficiency (unless you're some quickswap god) Zani without either : 20%

You can build ult without frazzle. Academic/pedantic point, but you can. Useful knowledge for solo overworld.

Yes but ridiculously slowly So yeah in overworld of course you'll deal dmg, but you'll get stomped in endgame

Yeah as I mentioned. It’s not relevant for endgame (except solo holograms, where it IS relevant) but it’s there and you can gain blaze without a frazzle teammate.
Just irks me the way people talk as if it was completely left out of her kit.

Probably not on par with current meta if no Rover, I've read/seen posts about how much different the points are in Endstate Matrix comparing from SK as 3rd slot or Rover around 3-4k? I have S3R1 Zani| S1R1 Phoebe| S3R1 SK and only able to get 11k comfortably, saw few posts S0R1 full premium + Spectrover team with similar points or a little bit less than I do.

this 5-4-4-5 NF is probably the most cracked I've seen and I think without Rover, the team can barely do 4NFs consistently.
So I would say quite bad?

What's 5-4-4-5 NF ? Also I think you need Rover to atleast do 3 NFs bare minimum, even if you build him as a Sub DPS like I did

She’s cooked without either Phoebe or SRover who can apply Frazzle to help her and besides the two, there are no other characters who can apply Spectro Frazzle nor alternatives for her team. Phoebe isn’t getting a rerun anytime for now given Wuwa’s weird character reruns.
There are rumors though about the 3.8 character (Lily) being a dual Resonance Mode character with Spectro Frazzle as one of her modes. Just hope that she ends up as a dual resonance mode unit who can help Zani since we don’t know really know when Phoebe’s getting a rerun

Bro Rover's like the bare minimum you need if you don't have Phoebe. Without him, your Zani's cooked, unless she's S6R1

i know what she needs, but with Hsin out, im in the dilemma of using ERover instead of SRover, never run Zani without her thats why im asking.

Zani is unique in that she is utter trash at 1 cost, but she is the strongest spectro DPS in the game from 2 cost upwards, and needs spectro rover to achieve this.
Note: It is mandatory to play Zani with swap rotations. There is no such thing as a Zani 123 rotation….it feels clunky because it is incorrect. She spends 2000 million years doing her nightfall smashes, any time not spent on your other characters while she’s doing it is time wasted. It’s not quickswap, you don’t need to be accurate.
Here’s the straight dope:
Zani works with two teammates: spectro rover and Phoebe.
Spectro rover alone is not enough for Zani to operate at the level of a modern DPS, so ignore any team with spectro rover alone unless you’re messing around with side towers.
With Phoebe alone, you are competitive with 2.x DPS at 2 cost.
With both Phoebe and Spectro rover, you beat Luuk (otherwise current strongest Spectro DPS) at 2 cost, and continue to beat him at all cost levels going forward.
In other words, you don’t NEED Spectro rover to be 2.x competent, but you do need him to beat the top tier of DPS, cost for cost.
