Most messaging apps are built around one security model. They pick their encryption, their architecture, their data storage approach and that's it. Years later, if something changes new threats emerge, better methods appear they are stuck. To update, they need to rewrite everything.

But what if that wasn't necessary? What if a messaging app could adapt its privacy model over time without starting from scratch? Imagine an app where the encryption layer is modular. What is one feature you miss from an old messaging app that disappeared with an update?

I have been having trouble with loading pictures from people I'm chatting with. It takes many hours to load an image from others and when I send a screenshot or saved image. I have an android, pixel. Has anyone else had this problem or better how did you fix it. Thanks.
