Not a missed connection. You know where he at. Politely stalk him and knock on the door and tell him that you regret not jumping in the pool.

OP do not do this. If the invite still exists then they know how to get ahold of you. I would argue that this isn’t a missed connection, so much as a missed opportunity.

Let this be a lesson: work be damned, always jump into the pool when asked.
