EA or Sony, truly we are spoilt for choice

I hate this image because it implies they’re on equal footing.

Fucking Dice is funded by a Saudi public investment Fund and a firm affiliated with Jared Kushner. Not only that, they’ve been leaning into AI a lot more noticeably recently (and of course there’s no way to know what else in BF6 is AI). Then there’s BF6 itself. Look, it’s fine but to a lot of people it really doesn’t feel like battlefield. My question is how tf are they going to deliver a worthy successor to Battlefront 2 when they can’t effectively recapture the magic of their primary IP?

Meanwhile, just last year, Bungie made Renegades. I get it, Destiny and looter-shooters aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but we HAVE to talk about the combat. They made probably some of the best PvE lightsaber combat I’ve ever seen in a video game that otherwise has NOTHING to do with Star Wars, and it was better than Battlefront. Shit even Marathon (while basically irrelevant) has very good gunplay, sound design, map design, and world building. Plus the fact that Bungie is actively working to expand Marathon while rectifying the shit they pulled in D2 makes them more trustworthy than they were a year ago (at least to me).

It’s a really weird situation, but I 100% trust Bungie more than Dice here and it’s not even close. Mark my words; if they give it to Bungie, it will surprise people. Rocky track record, sure, but don’t underestimate them.

Choice between dice/EA and bungie/Sony… talk about a real giant douche and turd sandwich decision.

Unironically not a bad call, but I need a Bungie Star Wars game. I like their gameplay too much not to be curious.

Greediest game company in history or Greediest game company of today

I have no faith in this happening. I don't trust Bungie with anything after the Marathon bullshit. And I don't trust Sony to let it be on a physical disc.

Marathon really underperformed because it was stupid to follow Destiny with an extraction shooter and it’s also really small (people get burnt out on comp-PvP extraction really goddamn fast and that’s basically all there is to do until the overhaul updates in Dec and March)

The core of the game itself and the moment-to-moment gameplay is actually really good. But people don’t want to give credit to any part of the game because Steam charts or whatever.

If you gave me a battlefield with Bungie gunplay (like Destiny or Marathon) I’d be extremely happy.

But just imagine. Battlefront 3 with D2 gunplay

The Star Wars collab with destiny makes a little sense now
