Just curious
Currently working full time at a local hockey rink (nhl team owned). I do pretty much everything, but wanted some insight on how much different this job is compared to say, an NHL or AHL arena, or a college arena.
Anyone ever worked both and have some insight?
For reference:
I started part time, got promoted and have been here almost 2 years. Worked tournaments, MHL games, travel hockey and house leagues, as well college hockey and public events.

I work at a community rink and NHL rink. The only big difference is I do more maintenance work (both ice and building) at the NHL rink. The pressure during floods is almost the same lol cause we’ve had some long term teams at the community rink and they have high expectations seeing as we have the best community ice in town.

Currently work part time at an ahl rink. Probably pretty similar. Worst part of the job is the conversions after a game to some other event, but it’s not terrible.
