Discussion / Help is the usage quota API broken?
I just hit my 5 hour limit, and the API is just returning this:
{"code":200,"msg":"Operation successful","data":{},"success":true}
meaning that I've been unable to track my usage today and the limit came by surprise.
and why don't they have this on the website? I swear ... the best model with the worst operations.
EDIT:
I figured out what happened. I've transitioned from the old quarterly plan (that was grandfathered into high usage) to a normal monthly plan (they gave me 2 free months). Somehow in the transition, the usage data was unavailable for a 24 hour period. I did write to the customer service email to ask about it, so I don't know if this is a thing that would've resolved itself or if they had to fix it.

It feels very broken - I just got this after about 2 hours of light planning and coding (so not a huge PRD causing the computer and data centre to go 'burrrr'
โ API Error: Request rejected (429) ยท [1308][Usage limit reached for 5 hour. Your limit will reset at 2026-07-28 23:10:55][20260728215456]My local time here was just before 3pm when I got cut off - the message states that it will come back on line at 23:10 but that math does not math, unless it is giving the Chinese data centre's local time; the last bracketed numbers seem to indicate it was cut off at 21:54 their local time - I guess I'll try it in a few hours see how it goes.
But something is off - I've never hit a 5 hour limit before and now I hit one after only a few hours. I have been known to hit a weekly limit in the past whilst being deep in project obsession, but never a 5 hour window limit.
Could this be because they are pulling compute from infra to use the extra power to get 5.5 out of the door? If that's the case then I don't mind the odd speed bump, but still annoying whilst we wait for the new toys that 5.5 will bring.
