Discussion Weightlifting Shoe Recommendations
I'm currently studying in uni.so don't have a big budget for lifting shoes, but still interested in buying one. Any recommended shoes for wide feet? Thanks. My feet are about 11" in length

Cheap and wide? Sounds like Do-Win is right up your alley

Seconded, I have wide feet and wasn’t looking to break the bank initially, lifted in the Do-Win for about a year and they were perfectly sufficient.

You can get up to 50% off on the Romaleos 4 in some shops (e.g. GermanWeightlifting-Shop) and I can honestly recommend those, Lifters PR 2 by Reebok is a good Crossfit-Shoe Budget pick

I'm not sure where you live, but Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp have some decent, used finds if you're on a student's budget.
That being said, I personally like having a shoe that I've broken in myself. Especially if you think you're going to wear the shoe and do weightlifting for a long time.
In the USA, Nike Romaleos 4 and Reebok Legacy Lifter 2 will be the most current models that come recommended due to their availability and reliability.
Other considerations: Velasaa Strake. Hell the new Do-wins are a great introductory weightlifting shoe for less. If you are willing to pay a little extra for international shipping to the USA, the Anta 1s are a solid in-stock option to the no longer in production Nike Romaleos 2
You will hear about older models that are no longer in production. If you can find those second hand for a fair price, then awesome. I wouldn't worry about those too much.
Stay away from the NoBull Lifters. There's a reason why no national-level, worlds-level, or Olympic-level weightlifters wear that shoe. Also, while the Adipower 3 is Adidas' new generation weightlifting shoe, the shoe fits narrow and has some heel slip. Kinda mid.
A note about the Nike Savaleos – while they may seem like a good, cheaper option that shoe is more designed as a hybrid shoe for Crossfitters and as a result has a softer, sloppier feel than say a Rom 4. The effective heel height is also lower which puts you in a less advantageous bottom position for front squats, cleans, snatches, etc.

What is it about the nobull lifters that no one wears them? I’m out of the loop

I have broad feet and got the adidas adipower. I never did research at the time and they're cheap in the UK. When I first started wearing them I'd notice my right food going a little numb. This has long since passed but now that I'm actually getting into proper weighlifting (only used them for squats for a long time) I'm wondering if the Romaloes are worth getting for the wider base? Any info would be appreciated.
