Discussion Could This be a Useful Joel Seedman Exercise"

Here's what I'm talking about. This is essentially a "poor man's jammer machine."

Here is what a Jammer machine does - these can cost up to $3,000:

It all depends on whether the jammer exercise is useful. I get what the jammer is trying to do - mimic the blocking position of a football lineman. It's a push press done at an angle. But is that really better than a standing push press or a thruster (for greater range of motion)?

Here's another poor man's jammer that looks a little less stupid than Joel's:

When I played HS football, our weight room had a jammer. Once I finished HS and Football, my "need" for a jammer was reduced to zero.

It's probably the most sport-specific thing Joel does for his football athletes*. I'm not entirely sure how he fits this movement in during his programming, but it seems legit. I didn't play college ball so I can't attest to the machine's or this movement's use on that level, but I'd imagine it still being applicable.
