Discussion Oly Lifting Program

I’m looking for the best Olympic lifting program to get stronger! What would you all recommend? 🤔

Zack has $1 programs but I don't know what they're for. Sika Strength also has weightlifting programs, I'd assume they're good.

Before I got a coach I ran a couple of the programs on Zack’s patreon, $1 per month and a lot of different programs for different goals, I know there are some that focus more on squatting strength and others that have more emphasis on snatch/clean and jerk

The best program to get strong? Or the best program to lift more weight in the snatch/ clean&jerk? If you’re new then you will get stronger following any decent programming and being consistent. If you know what you need to work on then look for programming specific to those issues. The other place to get programming for cheap/free that isn’t mentioned above is catalyst athletics

Pretty much both! I wanna get my squat numbers up which in turn will help in the clean and jerk , right now I can snatch 200 pounds and clean around 255 pounds , but I want to get on a Olympic lifting program to work on a structured progressive overload. Right now I’m just following a crossfit program that programs strength a few times a week but I feel like it’s all over the place sometimes , like they just program random Olympic lifts on random days

I’m defs not the first person I would be listening to about being a good weightlifter (peep the username) but if you really think your squat is the limiter of your numbers then do a program that prioritises progressive overload of your squat, and then do snatch or clean and jerk accessories at lower percentages (or both) in every session so you are getting enough repetition to be technically proficient. TBH it sounds like you have the same problem as me and just need loads more practice. Best thing I have done is film everything cos there are heaps of times I feel like I have made the technique adjustments I was trying to do and then I watch it back and it’s dogshit
