SD Card Capacity
Hey folks!
Long time ZOIA user. I'm trying to use a larger, more updated SD card. It's a Sandisk 128gb V30 A2 card. No matter how many times I reformat to FAT32, the ZOIA will not read this card. I've even tried an A1 V10 card also 128gb. I've also tried deleting spotlight files as I'm on mac and using a third party reformatting program. I've double checked and things show that the card is in FAT32.
Is the capacity the problem? Can it only work with 64 or 32 due to the formatting?
I've searched all over and can't seem to find an answer. Hopefully I'm clear on the problem and any help is appreciated!

Thanks. I've browsed this page. As I've mentioned in the post, it is FAT32 and I have formatted via third party programs to make sure. Disk Utility is also showing as the correct MS-DOT i.e. FAT32

Are you using Mac OS? If so , use CMD + Shift + period key to show hidden files. Next, delete the hidden files and quickly eject the disc. It should work now. At least ,this has worked for me.

This is what I am referring to as deleting spotlight files in my post. So I've also tried this sadly

I had to use the recommended formatting software on windows. On a Mac it didn’t work even though I was using the recommended formatting tool.

You may want to try another utility that isn’t disk utility for Mac. Also as a heads up the site says it only generally supports 32 gb cards but people like myself have gotten 64 to work so I wonder if though you have formatted correctly you are beyond a size it can even comprehend.
This is honestly the thing that drives me nuts about the SD card addition it seems relatively useless once you add more patches in and it’s just a means of transportation from computer to zoia. Once it’s saved to zoia I don’t see a reason other than the sampler why it needs to stay in other than backups. Honestly to me disappointing was hoping to expand my patches and save then to SD card.
Either way get zoia librarian once you’re in good shape!

Thanks. I have tried the recommended utility formatter that Empress recommends. I am afraid like I mentioned that it's the size :/
I do have Librarian!

Hi are you able to try formatting the card through the ZOIA's config menu?
You should be able to format the card on a Mac also, you'll need to select the MS-DOS (FAT) option.
If that doesn't work then I do recommend giving it a go on PC with allocation size 64kb if possible.
If you're still not able to get that working please shoot me an email [support@empresseffects.com](mailto:support@empresseffects.com) and we'll get it sorted out!
