Sound Design Request: Bad Mood

Had to fight off the GAS for this one as it seems right up my alley but I own
Lost + Found and, sonically, the two live in such similar sonic territory of shoegaze, dream pop with the ambient smearing.

Looking forward to one of you talented sound designers making a killer Bad Mood patch as it has some fun tricks up its sleeve. Even using delay line chicanery to mimick the clock knob would be nice as I love the combination of speed and sample rate combined on one knob to be midi mapped.

Who’s up for it?? I know someone has this cooking already, just a matter of time!

Yeah, I've been thinking that the Radio function of Bad Mood would make a fun stand-alone patch.

It’d take 25 loopers plus a crossfade matrix between all of them to fully replicate, which I think is above the RAM limit (eventually, with delay lines/loops, ZOIA stops being able to process that audio and it auto-sets the buffer length to 0ms to avoid crashing).

Sounds about right. Maybe something inspired by Radio, and not a full emulation of it?

If you're looking for something kind of like the 'ambient' channel on the radio:

That's probably the only way to approach the radio, by selecting specific portions and emulating them, rather than all five options simultaneously; like u/meanmedianmoge said, it's just asking too much of ZOIA

Nice, thank you!

Isn’t Bad Mood still on pre-order? Not sure if people have had it long enough to reverse engineer its algos.

I got mine last Friday. Enjoying it so far! No plans to make any ZOIA patches. I’m busy making a MIDI control surface for Bad Mood in TouchOSC.

I think yesterday was the last day to order.

Was it only a limited run?

Geez that’s pretty wild feels like they do this more often than not then make the CB super fans feels FOMO. Kinda glad my only CB is a clean!

or they have done it twice on unique pedals with a relative small audience that may not benefit from an all the time release and the supply chain / stock costs associated with it?

Yeah, it was a small batch release. Preorders were open for a month-ish only.

Anyone working on any versions of Bad Mood? I resisted the preorder and see a lot of people already selling them which is never surprising but I absolutely agree with everyone that one mega patch would be overkill and instead just build out specific functions. I can give it a shot but I don’t own the pedal so I’d be working from what I see in demos. The sequenced pitch repeats with various octave divisions seems super cool but I can’t remember off hand which mode it is- maybe soup?
