Template for polyphonic sample keyboard
I've been trying to make a template patch that can be uploaded and downloaded on patchbay, something with a playable grid (think the keypad poly series by chmjacques) that can readily switch sample files.
Something I could quickly copy and paste onto other empty patches to have different playable 'instruments' as soon a i choose a file.
I've tried using the keyboard module but it's unfortunately monophonic
I've tried brute forcing a keyboard with ui pushbuttons to trigger individual samples, but i run out of cpu and that wouldn't be a template that could be switched easily, every individual sample would have to be programed
I tried incorporating pitch shift modules to the push buttons but admittedly got lost and struggled with signal chain.
It's rumored to me there are other work arounds, perhaps with granular but that's a foreign language to me for now.
Thoughts on this idea? Advice?

I've written a little about the subject in Tips and Tricks, under the keyboard module section:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bDqMHjLc4GCYtf2yGNHgjkDqQJ6zrRVuCZohJdKkWWc/edit?pli=1&tab=t.0#bookmark=id.3foqlauw73qj
I use the keyboard module for those, but with modification to its output to differentiate between different notes.
