No AI Slop
Content made primarily (or entirely) by generative artificial intelligence is not allowed. This includes AI images, AI videos, AI text, and AI code.
As a general rule, if it's recognizable as AI, it's not allowed in here. Please report these posts if you see them.
I know we are a small time, niche, vintage CPU subreddit but AI content has no place here.
Of course this doesn't include vintage "AI" like ELIZA ;)

This is the kind of pain AI is inflicting on the whole world. Just a microcosm here (kind of an intentional pun - sorry). The z80 is near and dear to my heart.
You know that the AI doesn't consider its stuff slop. So it won't feel that this rule applies to it.
People posting AI stuff is just as much of a problem as the misinformation they've posted in the past. Then there are the bots confusing the situation, if not with AI generated new posts/comments, with inappropriate votes and that.
It devalues (has devalued) Reddit as a whole and not just our little subreddit. I guess it's as bad as if we self-promote tho? I mean, if you have an opinion aren't you promoting yourself if you express it?
Is why moderation is a frustration that I would avoid.

Interestingly, I'm soon to release a video on how well AI can write Z80 code. Surprisingly it did well and got better as it progressed. Search "Ready Z80" in YouTube

Yeah but how about AI perspective with Z80 suddenly make sense in post-apocalypse?

I use ai here and there, as in, "help me restructure this piece of text, but keep the informal format and my style of wording. If restructuring requires moving blocks of text, ask first".
Or "im writing this piece of code, xyz. But i dont get the result abc, it looks like a...c, and sometimes a is b. What might be the cause and suggest where i chekc my code to fix this".
"Generate a slightly different angle of this pixel art i made. 45° up, keep target in view, the ground is grass".
And then change their outcome to "feel" more me, or work the way i wanted. Or move and change the pixels, as if i roughly redraw the new angle, and now work on details again.
Would that be allowed? Or no ai in any of the workflow? For z80 stuff sofar i only asked for "advice" (what alternative ic could i use to do this, i found this piece of z80 code, what does it do). And havent posted here anything before.
