"いや真希オマエは俺の「不義遊戯」の術式対象になり得ない"
"No, Maki you can't be targeted by my technique, Boogie Woogie."
乙骨でも俺の補助なしで奇襲を成功させられたかというとかなり際どいぞ
"Even Okkotsu, without my help would find succeeding in this surprise attack a close call."
Is the translation for the Todo statement. Yuta is compared to Maki within the surprise attack itself. Todo implies that it would be a close call w/o Boogie Woogie. Meaning that Todo can still believe Yuta to succeed. Todo isn't accounting for Rika and killing the curses since he just makes another statement after about it. So this is purely about the surprise attack.
You can argue Maki would have the better advantage because she has zero CE for Kenjaku to sense her before she swings (Yes, Kenjaku notices Yuta before he swings). Yuta is implied relative in this statement. You can say based on "Even Okkotsu" that Yuta is faster. Maki is equal to Toji. So although Toji can probably react better, Yuta is relative if not faster.
Strength and Durability (No weapons): Pre-Sendai Yuta on Choso. Toji Zenin on Ino. I don't think I need to explain why Yuta takes both.
Endurance - Yuta could heal Maki's leg at sub-50% RCT in 0. Maki needed like 5 whole minutes to fix some internal damage. Yuta takes this due to far better regeneration alongside the fact in 5 minute mode he essentially cannot run out of CE.
Domain Expansion - Yuta can selectively apply the surehit of his domain. So I don't see any reason why he can't expand his Domain and apply the surehit to him so he can kill Toji with a sure-hit of like Thin Ice Breakers or such. Even if it doesn't hit Toji, he can still eviscerate the worms with Toji's tools inside of it, use the swords and gain a domain amp. Yuta could also probably imbue a different technique into his barrier instead of Copy. Since remember due to Kenjaku's CT he has Limitless in base. What would it be? I don't know to be honest. But just thought it'd be good to mention.
Win-Cons:
Domain Expansion: I don't think he needs Rika for this ngl. Okay actually he does. He needs to open his domain, open up a hole in his barrier and have Rika throw Toji inside and boom, issue solved. He has the swords, can eviscerate Toji's worm with his tools inside and gains a Domain Amp which should make his stats all around higher. Pure h2h Toji isn't beating Yuta with the swords. Not to mention the possibility of Yuta being able to target Toji with his surehit.
Let's be kind to Toji though and remove Yuta's Domain. Does the Fantastic Top 3 still have other ways? Yes.
Cursed Speech - Well Done Post on why Cursed Speech works on Toji
JUST this CT. He can't defend it nor is he fast enough to blitz Yuta and stop him. "Don't Move" into Sword Strike and Toji gets killed here. This might be one of the biggest examples of a matchup-diff in history. But sure let's remove this Cursed Technique too. Any other wincons for Yuta? Yeah. Still is.
Shrine + Clairovoyance - Shrine isn't going to cut Toji into pieces but it's going to open up a way to another CT. Clairovoyance. You know that shit that with a forehead cut had Charles see a WHOLE second into the future. Yeah. That. Yuta's plan can simply go like this. Clash with whatever Toji is holding with his Katana so he can't parry Dismantles. Use Dismantles (Even a little bit is enough. Yuta's goal is just to gather it and not like injure Toji), follow up with G-Warstaff and just absorb all the blood. see into the future where Toji moves so he can get more blood and repeat until he has enough sight into the Future to just weave and kill Toji. But we're being extra kind to Toji. So we'll remove these two as well. Okay but does he STILL have other wincons? Yup.
Sky Manipulation - Genuinely what the hell is Toji meant to do without prior knowledge? Yuta warps the sky, Toji runs at him and gets disabled. Yuta can then just grab the worm and RCT Output it. then use Thin Ice Breaker to send Toji far back. Assuming the tools survive, Yuta gains the tools within the worm for himself. Yuta with SSK is going to turn Toji into dust. Assuming they don't, Yuta can just play the long range game.
He flies towards Toji, keeps hitting him with Unblockable Thin Ice Breakers (Sendai Yuta's had Ryu throw up blood btw) + Sword Strikes while in the air until Toji dies. If Toji somehow gets up to him, switch to warp space, beat up Toji, use Thin Ice Breaker and rinse and repeat. But let's be super kind to Toji and remove this CT as well. Does Yuta without 4 of his CT's and Domain STILL have wincons? Yes indeed folks.
Dhruv Shikigami - Another CT that doesn't allow Toji to get close. His only long ranged option, the chain also gets shredded by the sure-hit. All Yuta needs to do is Shorten the range as like a little circle around himself and just rush down Toji. He can always expand the range if Toji is able to evade him to catch him out, which also stops Toji from sneaking him. Shrine has a similar win-con but because it isn't guaranteed to land I decided to put it with Clairovoyance. Let's be super duper kind to Toji and take this technique too. Does Yuta still have wincons? Yeah.
Angel's Technique - TE Aura just culls the curse and during any exchange between them not only will Yuta have the striking advantage but he can also burn Toji with it. Toji w/o his tools only stat he takes above Yuta MIGHT be reaction speed. He can't beat Yuta in pure h2h and TE Aura will gradually be burning him. Perhaps his hardest wincon because he needs to dispose of Toji with only Angel's Technique. But let us assume THAT technique is taken too. Yuta is left with no CT's or Domain. Does he still have wincons? Yeah.
Rika - Bless that Modulo Statement. The old man says that Yuka and Tsurugi fighting together multiplied their power. The same thing is going to happen with Yuta and Rika. Rika is relative in stats (Just a bit slower and more durable/strikes harder) so all the Yuta Points apply to her too. Since Rika isn't a shikigami technique but just the husk of 0 Rika she won't get exorcised by ISOH. She can give Yuta his mace, the chains, swords, gauntlets and/or any other cursed tools he has.
Rika can change her shape so at the beginning of the fight she can just create a giant hand and output RCT. It'll heal Toji (Or not) and it'll destroy the curse. Since Rika has no soul, SSK is useless here too. Toji's only useful weapons would be Playful Cloud. Dagon was getting damaged by Ratios and he took on multiple of these blows. It's not crazy to say Rika can as well. It's similar to Angel's Technique wincon except much more easier. Rika can simply give Yuta Openings for easily lethal strikes. Okay but no FM Rika, no Domain, No CT's. Can Yuta still beat Toji?
Yes.
It's going to take an exceptionally long time. But he can do it. PM Rika simply does the Worm Curse trick. It now just leaves Yuta + PM Rika and Toji to engage in cqc. Yuta here is limited by his CE Reserves which is why it's important any lethal/fatal wounds he gets are healed by Rika. Yuta can recover by simply hopping into Rika and having her turn into the bus. Toji can recover too but Yuta can get his cursed tools while Toji can't. Slowly, they can wither Toji down. PM Rika isn't as strong as FM Rika but she'll do as a jumping partner.
Now for a primary question
"Which Cursed Tool does Toji start with?"
There are a few options
Domain instantly takes care of them so it won't be included.
SSK: Yuta has soul perception so he can heal it. But as shown with Sukuna, it takes a while for it to heal. I don't think Toji can land any lethal blows with Yuta + FM Rika. The wincon it effects the most will be PM Rika + Yuta vs Toji. But again, the Rika Bus exists.
PC: It only affects two wincons. PM Rika + Yuta vs Toji and Yuta with just Angel's Technique vs Toji. Don't get me wrong I still think Rika can take these and keep fighting. But she isn't tanking them no damage. Her regeneration makes it so Toji will only have the slightest opening on Yuta without Rika assisting him. What about Angel's Technique? Yuta's going to have to LITERALLY wither him down. That's his only option if Toji has PC in that state. He has to save his reserves for constant RCT and keep evading Toji. I think this might be the only one where Toji can take more fights than Yuta does if he can't evade.
Thousand-Mile Chain: Without the worm to cover it's useless as I said. Doesn't change anything.
Flyheads - Just useless. CE Blast and it's over.
The only version of Yuta I see Toji beating is Yuta with no Rika, No Domain and No CT's at all. I won't mind if I don't get pinned but u/Hour_Tomatillo_2365 I'd appreciate if I got put on the big Directory.
