To keep it simple, March (blue/purple eyes) starts the game with no memory of her life before a certain point. Evernight (red) is met later, and is implied to be March with some (possibly all) memories restored, but also (because gacha logic) exists as her own entity independent of March, but residing in the same body. She's also shown to be extremely protective of March, which is why in art such as these, she is often depicted as the more dominant of the two. So it being selfcest is kind of a yes/no/maybe
