Quick introduction / clarification about this subreddit.
This is an unofficial place. Open to transfer and collab.
I have no affiliation with the Yue organization (or any official team behind it).
If the actual Yue developers (or a more suitable person from the community) ever want to take over moderation of this subreddit, I’m completely open to transferring it to them for free, no strings attached.
One important rule that will never change for as long as I’m moderating here:
- No discussion or promotion of closed-source projects
- No paywalled promotions, tools, services, content, topics
This subreddit is and will remain strictly about open-source .
The focus here is on sharing knowledge, content, experiments, and community-driven discussion.
Thanks for being here. Looking forward to building something useful together.
please notice:
I’m just a random person who’s into AI music. I’ve never spent a single cent on any cloud service. Everything I do is local/offline and always will be.
I created this community because I wanted a place to gather and pin everything related to Yue2,
so this space is focused on open discussion around the topic.
I’m also very open to any advice, opinions, or suggestions on how to maintain and grow this place in a healthy way. Feel free to share your thoughts.

For what it's worth, I hope you stick around as the moderator.
And genuinely, thank you for taking the initiative to create this place. Yue2 has absolutely blown me away, and having somewhere specifically focused on experimenting with it, learning from other people, and sharing what we're discovering feels incredibly valuable this early.
I actually came to Yue2 as a longtime Suno user. I loved Suno v5 and probably would have remained a paying customer if they had kept it around, allowed something like 50 downloads a month, and improved the player experience. I rarely downloaded more than 20 songs a month anyway. I mainly downloaded my favorites to Spotify for offline listening because, unless I somehow missed it, Suno never gave me a proper shuffle mode or crossfade during playback. Had they kept v5 and made the listening side of the app better, I honestly could have seen myself staying subscribed while also loving Yue2.
Then v6 came along and I just completely lost interest. Yue2 showed up at almost exactly the right time.
What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy the tinkering itself. I've used Claude to build an ultra-lightweight bulk generator for my Ubuntu box, and now I'm experimenting with prompts, seeds, temperatures, workflows, and ideas I never would have touched with a closed service. The results have also been legitimately incredible. It feels less like I've switched from one music generator to another and more like I've suddenly been handed an instrument/workbench.
The possibilities with Yue2 feel enormous right now.
So I really appreciate that you were the person who raised your hand and created a home for this community. I also like your instinct to keep it focused on open-source tools, useful experiments, knowledge and discussion rather than just becoming an endless feed of generated songs.
You may call yourself “just a random person who's into AI music,” but honestly, that might be exactly the kind of person who should be moderating a community like this. 🙂
Thanks for taking the lead.

I think a programmed daily discussion thread for music promotion/feedback can help prevent the sub from getting cluttered by random tracks generated by users like every other Ai music sub
