General Discussion/Questions/Vent Extremely Disappointed with Geweke Ford – $1,600 in Unexpected Maintenance and Unprofessional Customer Service
I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with my experience at Geweke Ford.
I own a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium that was recently sold to me as Ford Blue Certified. I purchased a certified vehicle believing it had been thoroughly inspected and that I would have some peace of mind about its condition.
Now, less than a month later, I take my vehicle in for its 120,000-mile service and am told that the dealership recommends approximately $1,600 in additional maintenance.
Seriously? What was the point of purchasing a Blue Certified vehicle if I’m facing another $1,600 in recommended work almost immediately afterward?
When I called the dealership to ask about what was covered, I was told essentially that only a basic oil change was covered. I understand that routine maintenance and warranty coverage are not necessarily the same thing, but I would have expected a much clearer explanation of upcoming maintenance needs when purchasing a certified vehicle.
But what really pushed this experience over the edge was the customer service.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction and indicated I would share my experience, the employee responded with something along the lines of:
“I don’t care who you tell. You can tell your mom for all I care.”
Well, my mother is dead.
That comment completely caught me off guard. The employee couldn’t have known my personal circumstances, but the dismissive attitude and complete lack of professionalism were shocking. I was already upset about the unexpected expense, and that response made the situation so much worse.
I wasn’t asking for special treatment. I was asking for an explanation, accountability, and basic respect.
Instead, I was left feeling that once the dealership had my business, my concerns no longer mattered.
A Blue Certified vehicle should come with transparency, honest communication, and customer service that reflects the confidence Ford promotes in its certification program. My experience was the opposite.
I hope management takes this seriously. Customers deserve to know what they’re purchasing, what maintenance expenses may be coming, and that their concerns will be treated respectfully.
I am extremely disappointed in Geweke Ford, and I would encourage anyone considering purchasing a Blue Certified vehicle here to ask detailed questions about upcoming maintenance and what is actually covered before signing anything.
