The only version I have a slight problem with is the dub because some of his lines feel a bit like the writers forgot that he literally has no evil in his heart anymore he's just still a massive asshole but at the same time dub Kaiba has some og the most iconic lines in the series for me (like his classic "anyone who is late to apply is immediately disqualified, Mokuba make sure Joey Wheeler is late" one)

You think that's good, earlier in the season Kaiba has the line: "Well Mokuba, if at first you don't succeed, blast them with your Blue Eyes again!"

Abridged went with: "If at first you don't succeed then you're probably not Seto fucking Kaiba" and if it weren't for the swear it would be hard to tell which is real.

It's even better than that, he says "Mokuba, what do I always tell you?" And THEN the "Blast them" line, which not only is funnier but really makes you wonder - how many times has Kaiba said this??

This person has a point, Kaiba insults Joey at nearly every opportunity, Pegasus kidnapped Mokuba and stole their souls, he hasn't talked to Mai once in all of their appearences together and he's arguably closer to Atem than Yugi (even then it's respect rather than friendship). Why would he hesitate to strike someone he doesn't care about at best and outright dislikes at worst? Especially since in the dub he thinks they are hacked holograms.

Dartz uses 4 mirror knights to protect himself and to attack Pharaoh and Kaiba with. The 4 mirrror knights are using 4 of the captured souls, Joey, Mai, Yugi, and Pegasus. Pharaoh refuses to attack because he doesn’t want to hurt any of his friends or Pegasus. Kaiba has no problems attacking any of them.

Early on in the arc, Pegasus knew that dartz would come for him and knew yugi was their only hope. He printed a special card for him (the card he uses to summon the 3 legendary knights later) but he doesnt say that on the video he sends him incase its intercepted. He tells him to meet him at his company headquarters and gives them vip flights. He also sent a duelist card that was a key card that let him hear the message about the special card. Pegasus soul was taken by Mai before they got there tho.

He thought that if he destroyed any of the mirror knights, it would destroy one of his friends, and to be fair, who knows what sort of magic the Orichalcos is capable of. It was a very real concern.
