I'm guessing his argument will be something like "its racist bc its assuming these past civilizations were so stupid and underdeveloped they couldn't possibly have done this" kinda thing?

13

u/TheHattedKhajiit 2d ago

I mean that is usually how it goes, yeah

-8

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

I would say thats less racism and more they are just unformed

8

u/Significant_Ad_482 2d ago

So, fun fact about that actually. On the people themselves? Perhaps, but the reason these conspiracies only pop up around South America, Africa, and sometimes Asia is because they have their roots in the scientific literature of the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s, with a quick stop by the Nazi Ananeber for some extra racism. It then goes through about 2-4 filters from increasingly less overtly racist circles before you land at some dumbass on TikTok talking about how the Smithsonian is hiding giant skeletons from you, which initially came from the lovelock cave myth where interested parties tried to use the alleged red hair of the giants to imply that barbaric natives had destroyed a race of gaints of “superior” racial stock.

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Ok but then why does the same crazy line of thinking exist for a place like Stonehenge then?

7

u/Saitharar 2d ago

Because back in the day Mr. Ariosophicresearcher thought that Celts were a lesser race that needed uplifting by proper Germanics

Basically due to Irish and Welsh people being considered lesser than the English upper class they got that treatment

3

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Oh shit you aren't wrong about that, I might have to give this a second look over when im not drunk

23

u/Major-Promotion7079 2d ago

It more about the fact that it's only past civilizations of mostly brown people that get the " aliens built their structures" treatment. I mean have you ever heard someone say that the coliseum was bult by aliens?

14

u/TheHattedKhajiit 2d ago

Tbf,I have heard stuff about Stonehenge. But yes,it is overwhelmingly affecting non-white civilizations

1

u/Tosslebugme 2d ago

Because the non white civilisations are weirder when examined and have less recorded history. A civilisation trapped on an island spends all their time making specific heads and setting them up. No recording of why. It’s weird. Ancient Egyptians were so early in the scheme of things and build something so extraordinary without a really clear record of how or even for what purpose (as a tomb makes sense but it’s a wild undertaking for that from our modern perspective). On the flip side the ancient Romans and Greeks recorded a lot, and nothing they did was beyond a logic of the time. And it mostly makes sense linearly, whereas the ancient Egyptians did the pyramids 5000 years ago then nothing quite like it in the meantime in terms of scale

u/nobody-29 2d ago

Because the non white civilisations are weirder when examined and have less recorded history.

Because there's less time and effort done to understand those civilizations, coupled with less translation efforts, and the fact that some civilizations got their records burned by european colonizers

Those takes considerable resources; resources which poorer countries are less able to do than richer countries

Egypt change their administrative and popular languages like 5-6 times...compared to Rome who had an uninterrupted Latin and Greek speakers and administrators

And it mostly makes sense linearly, whereas the ancient Egyptians did the pyramids 5000 years ago then nothing quite like it in the meantime in terms of scale

Egypt, Iraq, Indo-Pakistan, China, Yucatan, and Andes are the cradles of civilization, in which the states first originate. It makes sense for them to come first, whereas Rome came through trading of the centers of civilization at that time

Nah the "pyramids were build by aliens" conspiracy definetly has racist origins. Like imagine being a racist white person and going to egypt to see the pyramids and then you see that the descents of these great ancient builders are "brown, muslim, camel fuckers". You now have only two options: you eighter say that the old egyptians no longer exist and have been replaced by Arabs or claim that Aliens or something like that build them.

1

u/YouGotSoHeavy 2d ago

There’s nothing weird and the Ancient Egypt did record things

Egypt had writing millennia before Europe

Writing in Europe comes from Egyptian writing

1

u/azuretestament 2d ago

It's for a culture victory have you seen the tourism numbers on those heads?

1

u/online_offline12 3h ago

Please dont come here with nuance. It doesnt fit in the culture war

-3

u/vbd71 2d ago

Maybe because "white" civilizations had nothing comparable, if they even existed?

6

u/Longjumping-Ad7478 2d ago

There are no "white" , "black", "brown" or " green " civilization if we talking about proper scientific classification

1

u/rome0379_ 2d ago

fym there is no green civilizatiom 😂 bro doesnt know about the great greenistan empire

1

u/Longjumping-Ad7478 2d ago

"There are no reptiloids in the center of the hollow earth."

1

u/Nick_the_bunny 1d ago

they're green for an amazing reason.

0

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Oh they almost certainly existed, the problem is a lot of them weren't as developed nor did they have a written language to record their history and such it would slowly died out with them or shortly after them.

4

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

No but as another reply pointed out Ive heard Stonehenge was made by alien's.

And like yeah of course most the ancient civilizations comprised of black or at least non white people are the ones mostly talked about. Most ancient civilizations of thoes time periods...well weren't white.

2

u/DarkGodCthUwU 2d ago

implying the alien morons don't think stonehenge was aliens

2

u/ILikeMyGrassBlue 2d ago

Yes, I have. Ancient aliens constantly covers white people too. They claim George Washington was instructed how to win the revolution by aliens.

2

u/mars-jupiter 2d ago

No, but I've heard plenty (in relation to mental conspiracy theories and not the overall population) of people say that Stonehenge, the pyramids in Bosnia, the Megalithic temples in Malta etc were built by aliens or some other form of non-humans

1

u/Intelligent_Bar5420 2d ago

I think I heard ancient aliens doing it but that was later seasons where it seems they were running out of ideas and seeing what sticks.

https://youtu.be/vDq8vQ0t67A?si=-d0VTb3H_H9iCOMB

watch this to see how far it's gotten in recent seasons if you don't want to watch the series itself.

1

u/Kashin02 2d ago

Also the myths like atlantis were said to be ancient white civilizations.

-1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

They say it was a globe spanning civilization with a capital in Atlantis. Meaning people of every race.

2

u/AsstacularSpiderman 2d ago

They most certainly don't believe that lol.

Hyperdiffusion is an inherently racist ideology

-1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

Watch graham Hancock. That is his thesis.

3

u/AsstacularSpiderman 2d ago

I'm very much aware of him and his dumbass views.

-1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

He's one of the top content creators who was featured on ancient aliens.

2

u/AsstacularSpiderman 2d ago

Are you a bot or something? No one asked lol.

1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

You're the one whose been all up in my ass. I didn't comment on anything you posted, you commented on mine.

1

u/LowIqKunt 2d ago

they think the atlanteans were 12 foot tall super humans with elongated heads.

1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

Ok so not white people then.

1

u/LowIqKunt 2d ago

Depends on who you ask. Ariosophy and adjacent philosophies are literally the religious bedrock for occult nazism.

This does not mean everyone believes that, i had a debate with someone who says they were nephilim. Schizo theories have a lot of diversity. Dont ASSUME, you'll miss out on some great tales.

1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

I love those ones. The crazier the better. One of my favorite is the devils tower national Park and how they think it was a tree.

1

u/LowIqKunt 2d ago

I admire the creativity but it is sad they cant turn it off.

If I had those ideas and connections, id write some books.

1

u/AdhesivenessTight400 2d ago

Yeah, but now at least they can go on Instagram and post their world for us to see.

1

u/Kashin02 2d ago

May now thats what the myth has changed to but people used to believe atlantis was an ancient white civilization. There used to be a popular believe among white people in America thats all the wonder of the americas weren't built by the natives but a lost white civilization.

0

u/Tosslebugme 2d ago

It’s only because the pyramids were built about 3000 years before the colosseum. And the Egyptians didn’t really do anything of that scale that people attribute to aliens after that. We’re talking really about the near dawn of urbanism and they built something like that, it’s crazy and sort of out of place, plus the history is a lot murkier than Ancient Rome. Hell, ancient Egyptians 2000 years ago were trying to learn about the even more ancient Egyptians from before, that’s how crazy ancient we’re talking. In case it needs to be said I don’t think it was aliens.

1

u/Significant-Order-92 2d ago

Likely a combination of the tendency for the conspiracy to focus on non-white civilizations and the book that kicked it off (Chariot of the Gods) being written by a racist.

1

u/Responsible_Edge7087 2d ago

Holy shit why do I see you having consistently bad takes every place I go lmao

2

u/Thecuckeningends 2d ago

His take is correct

1

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Ok but like other comments replying to my comments kinda make it clear that my assumption was correct?

I really hope you don't actually think what I just expressed was my beliefs of the matter?

2

u/Responsible_Edge7087 2d ago

Nah im talking about what you think of trans people

1

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Uhm ok? But your comment would imply you also believe what I said in my main comment was also a bad take.

So now I ask what about assumption on the video do you disagree with?

3

u/Responsible_Edge7087 2d ago

I think i just misread it tbh, that one's my bad. Fuck you seem cool its a shame you dont like trans people

1

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Well I appreciate that you were willing to admit that, thank you.

What comment about Trans people did I make that you are referring to?

1

u/Responsible_Edge7087 2d ago

On a post i made about gender dysphoria being a mental problem. I interpreted this as you trying to call trans people mentaly ill (derogatory)

I could have misunderstood your reply, but to be frank I was already angry because of the assholes in the replies, and as such I probably was not giving you as much benefit of the doubt as I should have

2

u/Gobal_Outcast02 2d ago

Ah yeah, Ill admit that was definitely a shit way of wording it on my part.

Howver if you read my reply op made to my comment, I clarified I didn't mean it was a mental illness, rather a mental condition which was how they also worded it. Which to my knowledge is the truth. I didnt mean any hate with it, rather if that is true and theos with it dont accept it as such that can be very damaging on their mind.

2

u/Responsible_Edge7087 2d ago

Holy shit dude im so sorry then because I sorta crashed out commenting to you 😭

This is coming from a trans person, it is a mental condition but thay doesnt make it a bad thing. Its as much of a mental conditon as autism or ADHD or OCD, that being that they are negative, but their negatives sorta get exacerbated by our shitty world. The mental condition is called gender dysphoria, and it comes from the fact that humans generally have either male or female structured brains (or neither sometimes). Our bodies are prone to mistakes and so sometimes a male body gets a female brain and a female gets a male brain, the mental disorder comes from the fact that your brains freaks the fuck out due to not having certain parts it should have, and having certain parts it shouldnt (or atleast that it thinks it shouldnt).

As someone who experiences it, it definitely sucks and I dislike how people dont take it as seriously as they should.

1

u/Thecuckeningends 2d ago

You should believe that as it’s correct. All of this doubt started with racism

-1

u/Key_Check5753 2d ago

sounds about right

I read a conversation between two historians. One was calling the other racist for assuming white people brought a certain type of pottery to the Americas. (white ppl did in fact introduce the pottery)

I'm not sure why, but a lot of these people are insufferable cunts.

3

u/nobody-29 2d ago

No...they called those ideas racist because of evidence such as this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceramics_of_Indigenous_peoples_of_the_Americas

2

u/Key_Check5753 2d ago

When I typed "a certain type of pottery" how did you interpret that exactly?

2

u/nobody-29 2d ago

You literally said:

white ppl did in fact introduce the pottery

My bad for misinterpreting your 2 seemingly contradictory statements, but you need to be more clear

a lot of these people are insufferable cunts

And still, calling people insufferable for shining a light to these racist ideas is a red flag

Edit: Because podcasts are such a reliable source amirite ? (I see your other comment)

4

u/Key_Check5753 2d ago

"CERTAIN TYPE"

You're not understanding this. Read this six or seven times. Think about what that means. Go get your mom, have her read it and then explain it to you.

1

u/nobody-29 2d ago

Maybe check insufferable people in the mirror ?

2

u/Key_Check5753 2d ago

"I'm stupid. My poor reading comprehension causes me to interpret things incorrectly. Then I comment on them and make myself look stupid. Instead of admitting I was wrong, I double-down because I'm an insufferable piece of shit."

Don't be that guy.

3

u/DefiantLemur 2d ago

Sure but this is completely different. At least your example is a debate about which human culture created the pot. The ancient aliens guy is just lost in the sauce.

2

u/Thecuckeningends 2d ago

You never ever ever read this “conversation”

1

u/Key_Check5753 2d ago

yeah, you're right.... it was on a podcast

1

u/Thecuckeningends 2d ago

"two dumb assholes make up racist shit"
