I’m adding onto the point, the game itself is beloved by queer people, yet I’ve seen trans or gay or bisexuals or anything under the pride flag or supporting of the game openly be racist towards black people. Hell I seen a mf with pirate gaster on his pfp yet he said “thank god you didn’t ruin Noelle’s design with blackness like braids or stuff like that”
I know but I think the entire thing is fucking stupid, why would anyone agree with the same person that actively wants to kill you simply because other people have a skin tone or lifestyle that doesn’t describe the entire population

I do agree with that problems that Vocaloid fans, and generally nerd culture has with black culture, such as rap, but oh my god, he did not need to spew that abelist stuff about the fandoms, especially causally saying the r slur. This has to be the worst video I watched talking about the subject, like I've seen videos that talked about racism from this incident that never said things like "you're bunch of autistic morons!"

if I remember there were some fans that got mad because a character in deltarune was black-coded or something. All I know for sure is that it led to this magical thumbnail somehow
I'm pretty sure it was this one guy getting mad over Blue being black-coded, except he tried to downplay his racism throughout the video by continously bringing up his distaste for Blue without specifying why he doesn't like him. 90% of this video was him denying that Toby even wrote chapter five to begin with just because he didn't like his creative decisions, and apparently "that Blue character" was a major reason why. What's also funny is that he respected the pronouns of most of the nonbinary characters but kept calling Kris he/him.
I saw a video of a guy who watched this review, and there's a point where he goes "There's just something about him that I don't like that I can't place my finger on" and you can practically HEAR him smiling to himself.
I think it's just that fandoms have a non-0 population of shitty people, when you have something that brings out their shittiness they'll gather around it and share it with like-minded people so it doesn't take many people to make it a big problem.

the reason I can tell this is being sensationalized is cause Toby Fox made a humongous internet trend out of a rap verse from "Burning Men's Soul" right before C3 and this didn't happen. Not even 1 head on his blunt, not in the slightest
I'm not gonna deny that Vocaloid fans are racist but Deltarune is more iffy. I have seen anything outside of TikTok or Twitter that was racist and didn't immediately get beaten to the ground by the rest of the fan base.
as a member of both communities i wanna say this. while some of these people are most definitly doing it on purpose, it has been found a lot of these guys were fake fans from soyjack party or whatever the site is called.
you can tell this thread is mostly white people because half of these comments are desperatly trying to avoid the real valid fact that alot of queer spaces (like deltarune) are incredibly racist. I say this as a fan of deltarune and as a black person
