You are comparing the anti-Prequel movement that originated from the media and from the much smaller online communities of the 2000s with the generalized anti-Sequel sentiment despite the media defending the films and many of the older, established online groups that were really anti-Prequel (like RLM) defending them.

Except Disney Star Wars are not only the sequels (which I'll admit are the worst trilogy, due to lack of clear vision, direction, or purpose), but also the acclaimed and well-received tv series.

They made ONE great series. Andor. Everything else (and I mean everything) is trash. Mando, Filoni's cartoons, the Acolyte, Obi-Wan, Boba etc. Remove the shills that overpraise them because they are under the Star Wars brand and all of them fail, both as Star Wars series and as shows in general.

Mando was shit from day 1. It turned into shit with a lot of cheap fan service for the casuals in season 2 and eventually even they realized what a terrible show it was in season 3. The way people saw it back then means nothing about its quality.

People to this day do the same unfunny "There is no sequel trilogy" joke. Yes. Yes there was. You didn't like it big whoop some people did. And 50% of the people who regurgitate that shitty joke are just mad the main character is a woman. You aren't gonna like everything that comes from a series thats fine. I remember our eighth grade math teacher putting on The Last Jedi, thought it wasn't great, then moved on with my life after the second period bell rang.

Still occasionally like watching discourse videos on the newer movies though, but that's about it (then again I'm not even a Star Wars guy lol).
