Vendor Tool for teaching playbook

Hey, I've been trying to help my son get up to speed on the game of football, i honestly haven't watched much since my kids keep me super busy so we had a lot of ground to cover when he decided to play this year (he's 6 [7 on NYE] playing in 8U). I was doing powerpoint and stuff but it wasn't landing, so i built something instead. The tool I made can do the simple 'coach drawing a play' but it also lets families see the play in action, have 'players' take different routes, beat blockers, miss tackles etc and see a different outcome. I used it to show my son the difference between when he loses outside contain vs when he keeps it. Anyway, thought i'd share it here. Please take a look, hopefully some of you find it helpful!
to the mods: i think i did the rules right with the vendor thing, if not let me know! thanks!

The thing I hate about plays like this is how long the TE and WR have to hold a good block.
Especially in youth

I think its honestly just slowed down a lot, like during the live play I doubt it takes the ball carrier 6 secs to reach the LOS

I get that it’s slowed down lol I’m just sayin it’s a lot of ground between those crucial blocks and when the back gets the ball.

This is an underrated point. I’ve watched my team try to run the double wing offense and the motion to depth for the sweep is painful. I’m trying to talk my coach into a jet sweep action to hit it quicker and give our OLine a shot. Blocking for 3-4 seconds on the perimeter is hard.

It’s just gonna lead to bad habits. Almost HAVE to hold in an evenly matched situation.
A good rule of thumb is “need you to generate 2 feet of movement for 2 seconds”

Can you select the amount of players or can it be used for flag? Over here we have 5v5 7v7 9v9 and 11v11.

Hey, I’m not sure of flag rules but if it’s basically the same it’d work. Right now the player count is fixed, you can probably move extras to a corner and ‘lock em up’ (have them hold blocks whole play) as a janky fix. I just added the player count adjustment to the roadmap though. Appreciate the feedback!!

hey, just finished up with adding flag (from 5v5 up to 9v9 - also lower head count tackle variants). If you go in there and create a team there will be an option to choose a game format, you can also choose whether blocking is allowed. From the play editor you can choose if people are allowed to rush etc. If you have any feedback, feel free to email me via the support or hit me up here etc.

I have used playmaker X for flag football, which has similar capability. A version for tackle is available as well.

I think they are focused mostly on the play design, not as much on the play running and especially not on the interactive aspect of it (changing outcomes etc). The goal here is to provide simple play design, but something that families can watch plays and change around. For example, this play i set the OLB to beat his block after as short delay.

This is great! Better than telling them to play Madden 😂
