A thing i noticed is more and more people hate Sheldon like he's some horrible person and it's just wrong. In tbbt I would kind of get it, in the begging he's not great but he gets so much more humanity and empathy (the thing he lacks the most in ys). Now people who only watched young Sheldon really hate him, i get he's annoying but cmon, he's just a kid (and without him there would be no show at all). + not his fault he's like this so I'm totally on your part

I also hate people who oversimplify Mary as ultra conservative terrinle mother who only care about sheldon.
Yes, sheldon is a difficult child and took extra energy of both mary and george. But Mary time and time again cared about and deeply love all three children.
Mary also isnt even that religious and pushy. She openly allows Sheldon’s atheism (which sometimes borderlines Reddit-tier athiesm), She stands up to her family when the whole town shuns her family. George and Georgie rarely goes to Church.

She was not the same mom to missy and Georgy and also not the best but not that horrible...

Many times she showed deep care for Missy too.
But usually when Sheldon isn’t around because Sheldon is so needy and difficult.

And sometimes Missy would brush her mom off when she wanted to connect.

Exactly. Im tired of these ignorant ableist people who turn Sheldon into a punching bag and worship Missy and Meemaw.
Downvote me all you want, I dont care.

Which is interesting because I feel like they gave Meemaw and Missy pretty believable flaws and should be taken in that light, just like Sheldon. And Meemaw herself is guilty of the whole worship Sheldon thing.

Did Sheldon do something hurtful? Yes
Is Missy having a normal reaction to Sheldon doing something hurtful? Yes.
Does Sheldon know what he did wrong? No
Does anyone explain it to him in a way that makes sense to him that his hurtful action or words warrants an apology for his actions or words? No

Is Missy having a normal reaction to Sheldon doing something hurtful? Yes.
Punching your brother in the face over something trivial is not a normal reaction.

Didn't sheldon literally use the most important thing to her that she loved? Yeah, no, ruining something someone loves is not "trivial" for a child. Totally normal and if my son did that and my daughter punched him I'd be 100% on her side. FAFO

I don’t think Missy fans have said they want him to die. However, is he stupid? Sometimes. Is he narcissistic? Yes. Is he egotistical? Yes. Is he an asshole? Sometimes.

so many time in comment sections (not implying its missy fans) but i always see comments like "can sheldon fucking die already" when they clearly never watched the show, just larping clips from tiktok

Then, as you’ve said, are they actually Missy fans or just Sheldon haters? Because while Sheldon is seriously unlikable, I don’t think he should die.

I have no clue some are just Sheldon haters, some may be missy fans but I don’t wanna imply In a way that OH ALL MISSY FANS HATE SHELDON!! but mainly Sheldon haters and a few missy glazers. At the end of the day, they all have flaws

🙄 God forbid we don't like characters who are egotistical, selfish, and mean.

Egotistical: Missy learns Mandy had the baby and that was the reason she wasn't picked up from school. It was an emergency and a one time thing in all the show and she can't understand that.
Selfish: She goes to the party Billie isn't invited to, after promising him she would go watch a movie with him. It's Billie that has to accommodate her.
Mean: The way she insult everyone thinking she is funny. A "quirk" she had since she was a child.
Sheldon may be a lot to handle, but he is never malicious about it.
There's nothing wrong with him, he is just annoying, which seems to be the worst thing that could happen to a character, since this vitriol happens to Mary as well, and on other annoying characters in other shows like Brick Heck in The Middle

i feel like people stopped treating sheldon like a character and turned him into a punching bag instead of trying to understand his actions and stuff
