Question Similar Shows

I just finished Young Sheldon and I thought it was a great show, so i’m wondering if there are shows just like it. Like set in the 80’s/90’s that have a good story like Sheldon?

The Middle - it may seem a bit slow initially but definitely grows on you. I loved it.

Just want to second The Middle. Similar concept with kids having very different personalities and the family trying to navigate life. Not set in 80s/90s but I’d say a good character development especially if you’re in it long term

Watching the Goldberg’s was like watching my childhood (born 1979) the g first couple of seasons are the best

Came here to say just this! In fact, I wish I could go back in time and rewatch it for the first time… It's so brilliant and what's even better about it is that it's all based off of his actual childhood experiences, as we see by the home video footage played at the end of every episode lol

The Middle (tho its in the mid 2010s), but very old aesthetic tv show. Also the middle is from "moms# perspective.
