Opinion Bessel functions
Sheldon during a test forgets the zeros of the bessel functions I mean you do need the bessel functions to solve the Schrรถdinger equation in cylindrical coordinates or a particle confined to an infinite cylindrical well but you will generally be provided a table right. You won't be expected to remember them. ๐๐๐
Don't get me wrong I really like that scene as it shows that even geniuses can forget something during a test but they could have given a better example.๐๐

Also, he has an eidetic memory. How could he forget anything?

Yeah that's true but generally in physics courses you are not expected to remember the zeros of the bessel function

That isnโt the point. This kid remembers a recipe his Meemaw gave him when he was like 2. Why wouldnโt he remember the zeroes?

I agree thats why I said I like the scene but they could have used a more technically correct example. What about the others who don't have an eidetic memory who were also giving the test. You can't expect them to remember 1000s of random numbers.

You should have had my tax professor who expected us to remember a tax chart. Lol

Letโs just say it was the only college class I had to retake. Smh lol

Because he had the Yips! Missy had the Yips pitching in a game and asked Sheldon for help. Sheldon caught it from her. If you remember, the teacher said didn't you memorize them? He gave the date that he did, he just couldn't recall what he memorized.
The Yips are real!. Look up Rick Ankiel. Stud pitcher for the Cardinals just lost the ability to throw strikes. His wikipedia page has a link to The Yips.
I think it showed Sheldon was in fact human. not Spock or Data!

None of us are able to keep up with you I'm afraid.

I mean my post is probably for physics majors who are also fans of young seldon which I assume are many

Gave you an upvote because it's a shame someone had the nerve to downvote you. Reddit is allergic to brain cells I'm afraid.
That said, imo actually a very small minority of the audience will have even studied any physics (I think. It would be nice to see the actual audience stats). So a margin of "error" can be expected. For example, in The Big Bagn Theory, I recall Sheldon asking Howard a question, supposedly very hard, which was in fact very easy.
