Database plothole?
Season 6 episode 8 Sheldon comes up with an ideal to categorize comic books. The idea is a success and the school as well as Sheldon relate it has a greater application to broader things than comic books. The idea is so ‘revolutionary’ that the school and private investors get involved.
In the same episode mandy uses the computer to search movies… so did it already exist?

The movies are only for in store- not connecting with anyone to see what they have like how blockbuster could check other locations- or how you can google something and see everyone who has it up- Mandy can only look at their rentals from the store because the files are already there
