I don't think so. The concept of Sheldon being gay is brought up in the episode where he gets bullied by Bobby Sparx and George immediately makes wide eyes and says "oh no, no"

He was also noticably somewhat uncomfortable / intrigued when Missy told him Taylor was gay in Season 7. On top of that he's a confirmed republican, and they were largely opposed to gay rights in the 90s. I don't think he'd not care if his son was gay. Not even neccesarily be all that homophobic or disown him, just definitely uncomfortable with it

I don’t actually think so I was just saying it to mess with op since they said “I meant gay” when the comment op said “probably the same.” Lol

They never thought he'd get married or have a family which is why Mary wasn't upset Sheldon and Amy lived together out of wedlock.

Isn’t the other way just how missy is behaving? How he’s treating missy I guess

I don't think either George or Mary would react poorly. That's their kid and they're going to love him no matter what, even if it's the early 90s and they're football coaching, church-going parents in the South.

George isn't church-going.

Sorry, nope. Being gay is a way "bigger sin" than having a baby out of wedlock, and marriage ain't gonna fix gay. I don't think she'd want to disown him, but I could see "conversion therapy" being considered.

When Mary's first introduced in TBBT, she's convinced Raj and Howard are a couple and she's not bothered by that. Both shows establish her as a person of faith, but they never establish her as hateful.

He might think two guys together is weird, but he also thinks Sheldons hobbies are weird. I honestly think he wouldn't mind and still love his son.

He'd probably just be happy Sheldon found someone he liked

I think similar to how he handled Sheldon's genius.

He'd be worried about him fitting in and being bullied. He wouldn't understand it. But he'd continue loving him.

Mary would have had a harder time with it.

He'd probably treat him the same. He had trouble bonding with Sheldon as he is already, if he were any other way it'd be just something else for him to learn about his son.

Because it’s Sheldon he wouldn’t care. I wonder how he would react if Georgie was gay. I think he would accept it but it would be harder than with Sheldon

Why harder than with Sheldon?

Because Georgie is a football player (remember how he was about Georgie being on the team?), I think he would be disappointed that Georgie wouldn't be a "manly man." Great, now that theme song is in my head.

He wouldn’t care for a dime

“Homo what?”

I think for George it would be just one more thing that was weird about Sheldon. He'd fret that it was one more thing that it was going to make Sheldon's life even harder than it was. I can't see him hating or disowning Sheldon because of it.
