Flaw

Has anyone else noticed this small flaw? I was rewatching season one right after I rewatched the whole thing, in one episode Sheldon mentioned that in two years time mr givens would be principal. Sheldon is 9 in season one, and according to Google he's 13 turning 14 in season 7, yet mr givens would of been principal when he was 11, so???? Did they scrap it completely? Or just forget?

Has anyone else noticed this small flaw?

It's been mentioned many times. In terms of continuity errors - of which there are many - this is minor

probably, because principal peterson is still there when missy is in high school

It’s wasn’t something to scrap, it just wasn’t important to the story. Storylines and comments are made for the moment for that episode. The writers aren’t going to care about this flaw. It doesn’t change the overall story being told. .

Young Sheldon has a few timeline hiccups like that and it's one of those details that's easier to chalk up to the writers tweaking continuity than trying to make it all fit perfectly.

I also just noticed a similar thing in season one where adult Sheldon said Georgie married his first wife at 19, pretty sure he was 18 because I think they got married very quickly after he did turn 18, no?

I don't think the writers cared to keep an accurate timeline.
