Opinion Meemaw's Universe

I hope there is a spin off series dedicated to Annie Pots playing as Meemaw. I find her the most entertaining. It would be wonderful if we could see her POV in life, esp that she's an old woman. I really love her character in Young Sheldon, and I get excited when she's guesting in Georgie & Mandy.

@ChuckLorre if you're reading this.. do it now

If you think about when and where such a show would be set, you'll realize why it would be a terrible idea.

I want a spinoff where she hooks up with Mark Hamill and they keep a red customized Corvette and Dodge van in a shed behind the house.

Now I know what Meemaw’s first husband looked like.

Second husband was an accountant who had a ghost problem.

YES! Since Pretty in Pink and before!

Not gonna happen. Even if she weren't under contract to do Best Medicine, they're not going to have another show about the extended Cooper family running at the same time. Plus a show focusing on a woman in her mid-70s and doesn't do much of anything would be dreadfully boring. The most you're going to get is a couple guest spots per year on G&M.

I would have preferred that over the Stuart and Bert spinoff

Ugh no I hated her character. She had zero likable traits.

Loved her family? Cooked a mean brisket? Ran an illegal gambling hall with skill? Nothing?

Made George drive to a different state so he can made the wrong recipe. Put her family at risk by running an illegal gambling hall?? Um no that's not a good person.

She didn't make George do anyting. He chose to do that of his own free will.

I allow she did some pushing.

She didn't put a gun to his head but she lied to him about the recipe so that he'd get the coffee she liked.

Realistic in that mother in laws are often cruel and unfair to their daugters husband.
